Out of all the variations to the formula that have arrived recently, so far there is only ONE that I would even bother testing for a replacement to our Beach Coco. The rest, although perfume-grade, have either citrus or vanilla undertones and personally remind me of candles rather than a high quality perfume. 21.01.2022 TGIF I’m off to Moes (I’m not really but I hope you’re enjoying a chilled Friday arvi ) . So we are currently running a 50% off all stock until it’s run out. Several scents have already sold out but there is still some of our fave scents available . Please note that there is an approx 2 week delay on shipping 65ml bottles as we await new labels. Several boxes went awol in the recent move and the 65ml labels were inconveniently in one of them. There is no delay on 10ml ...bottles. . The reason for the sale is because we moved during the long weekend heatwave and was unable to regulate the storage temperature of the perfume batches due to the engine of the cooling system burning out. The aroma of the batches remain unaffected however I cannot be certain if the higher temperatures affect longevity and I could never in good conscience sell such products for full price knowing this. . This move would hands down be the most atrocious... wait, correction, interesting! move of my life (Interesting, because part of my New Years resolution is to be more positive!) The last 2.5 years has seen to me becoming somewhat..... jaded and I am seriously terrified of turning into cynical, middle aged grump so I decided I would trial changing all my negative judgements to mmm interesting! (No more of this ‘watch where you’re driving, mofo!’ and other naughty sentiments instead we shall murmur oh how incredibly interesting! ) . 18.01.2022 Samples! We offer samples for all our perfumes as it’s important to absolutely love your perfume and feel good when wearing it. It is completely unrealistic to expect customers to purchase a bottle of a perfume they have never even tried. It’s a waste of money to purchase a full size bottle only to end up disliking it, and have it collecting dust in the back of the cupboard or worse thrown in the bin! . Prior to pausing our store at the start of the year, our sample bottles w...ere 5ml rectangle clear glass bottles with a screw top lid. Unfortunately we are no longer able to source them . For now, we have a 3ml amber glass vial with a push down top which are, to be frank, a total pain in the rear. They are tricky to fill as the opening is so tiny and the push lid can be difficult and hurt your fingers. So firstly, apologies in advance. Secondly, please take care when opening and closing to avoid hurting your fingers. . We did consider offering perfume swatches instead of the vials but you really need to try the perfume on the skin to get an accurate reflection of the scent. I have been surprised how different a perfume can smell in the bottle compared to how it smells when applied. . So we are keeping the samples rather than swatches and I will continue to on my quest to source a more user friendly bottle than the current vial . Sample vials are $6.95 with free shipping. 15.01.2022 Hello lovely fam! I have had a few messages regarding where the hell is our beautiful co-founder Miss Dallas these days?! . Dal is the co-founder of Bae. She is also my only child. For those of you who have been with us from the start, you’ll remember that Dally was our social media queen I had Dally pretty young. It was just her and I for about 8 years. Dallas is my best friend. My daughter yes, but truly my best friend ... . My health crisis started not to long after launching BAE (thanks universe!) and Dal pretty much ran all aspects of the business for me, even while being in her final year of school! . If it weren’t for her taking charge, I honestly do not know if I’d be here today. It was a huge undertaking, considering she was already under so much pressure. . Dal is now down at Jindabyne; she has finished her 2nd snow season at Perisher and has been doing what most 21yo do! I so want this for her as she did so much for me . I love Dal so much. The love I feel almost brings me to knees. I cannot articulate the depth of this love. And of course I am thrilled that she is happy and living life! That is most parents desire for their child. . I have realised tho, that Empty Nest syndrome is legitimately a thing! I wish I had been forewarned of the sheer grief I would feel when she left home. It’s almost like losing a limb and I apologise if this analogy is insensitive but it’s the most accurate way to express my feelings. . I’ve probably overshared here and I’m sorry if it is inappropriate for a business page. I just felt the pull to share this as many of you remember Dal. 06.01.2022 Hey guys It’s official. Our new name is now registered and my hero Luise at @shoalhavendesignstudios has completed the technical stuff with domain and email names. If you’re on our email list, you’ll already know about our impending name change but if not, in brief we felt our new name encompasses our entire ethics as a brand rather than one element. . All of our old details like shop domain and email address are still valid and will be indefinitely. We have a lot more to ...communicate with you and will do so over time. . We were planning on reopening in July however COVID-19 has made accessing many of our supplies difficult so we are now aiming for September 1st. . It’s been a pretty hectic year, for everyone and we hope you are still swimming despite the current adversity. . 06.01.2022 Hello to you on this fine Friday You may or may not know that we have a dedicated Aromatherapy Perfume Collection which contain high grade, pure essential oils only blended with a palm oil free coconut oil base . Prior to pausing the store at the start of the year, we did have a range of aromatherapy perfumes that also had the option of being alcohol based however we now offer oil based only. The reason behind this decision is that I find the alcohol base isn’t as stable ...with an essential-oil-only-formulation as a carrier oil; they blend with an oil base far better. . (On that note, our sample bottles for the Aromatherapy perfumes are alcohol based as the oil is too thick for the vial opening.) . The scent of pure Aromatherapy perfumes are very different to traditional perfumes. It’s hard to explain in words as you need to experience them for yourself. They are far more raw and lighter and do not have the distinct scent of a high end designer perfume however they are still no doubt beautiful in their own right . Although I personally prefer traditional perfumes, there are occasions when I love wearing an essential oil perfume. Yoga or bushwalking being some of those times . We have 7 different aromatherapy perfumes and the essential oils used in blends have all been chosen for their specific properties. My personal favourites are the Energy blend and Prosper blend. A close third is the Self Love blend due to the addition of Rose Absolute oil. .
