13.01.2022 The Commonwealth Government recommends downloading their COVID-19 app prior to attending events... While this is not a requirement to attend our event, we ARE REQUIRED to maintain an attendance register. When you are collecting your team entry packs you will not be required to fill in our attendance register, as we already have all the details of your team - so we will just note the day/time you collect your pack.... For the Family Fun Day however, every attendee, including stall holders, volunteers, registered entrants & visitors will be required to fill in a form for our attendance register, which we are required to keep for a minimum of 56 days which may be used for contact tracing purposes if required. Only one person from each group/family will be asked to fill in the form upon entry, providing full name, address, email, phone number & arrival time, along with the full name of additional adults & children in your group. You will then be given a numbered ticket which you will need to put the time you leave & pop it in the box provided as you exit the event. We will then match up the number on your ticket to the number on your form & add the time you leave to your form. We will keep the attendance register sheets in a secure location for the required time, before being destroyed. We can assure you that your information will be kept safe & secure & adhere to standards in the Privacy Act. If you have any questions, please dont hesitate to send us a message :)

05.01.2022 You may have seen or heard us talk about the Baffle Creek Family Fishing Festival being a COVID-SAFE event... but what does that really mean?? This week, we will be sharing some important information posts about how we will ensure our event is a covid-safe event to keep everyone in our community, both residents & visitors, safe. This will also include letting you all know about our requirements & our Family Fun Day setup to ensure our event remains compliant.... We will also share some helpful posts on how you can help us keep everyone safe as well... If you have any questions, please dont hesitate to ask :D
05.01.2022 We have been asked why we have a limit on stalls at our Family Fun Day this year... Yes, usually we would not require stalls to "pre-book" & let any amount of stallholders just turn up on the day... But due to Covid-19 & the regulations we have to follow with regards to numbers of people at our event & physical distancing requirements we have put a cap on the number of stalls we can have.... As you can see from our site plan, we have put a lot of thought & effort into ensuring our site adheres to ALL requirements & regulations set out by the Qld Government with regards to COVID Safe Events. We have put a larger than usual space between each stall to allow you to maintain distancing requirements while browsing around the markets. To enable us to retain enough "accessible space" for the number of visitors to our Family Fun Day we have had to reduce the number of stalls we can have. We have also had to provide appropriately spaced tables & chairs for people to sit while eating & drinking. We all know that we need to keep a distance of 1.5 m from one another & while "family groups" dont need to follow this between themselves, they are still required to keep apart from the next "group" We will have the tables set in such a way that a "family group" can sit together at one table... & be safely distanced from the next table. If you have any questions about our day, dont hesitate to send us a message :)
04.01.2022 We are all aware of the current Covid Safe guidelines & the steps we are taking to keep each other safe & healthy... You will see signage posted around our event to help remind us all of the little steps we can take to help... Please remember to physical distance from other family groups, please be aware of any capacity signs we have placed in certain areas, please follow safe hygiene practices (we will have hand sanitiser stations set up ALL throughout the event grounds) & p...lease... stay at home if you are sick. Thank you for your assistance :D
04.01.2022 Well I am finally up to date with all our emails... If you have not received yours please check your junk mail & send us a message if you still dont have it. You should all have received 2 emails from us... - a confirmation of your registration/registration receipt AND - an information for entrants email with our app how to guide So just a little update on the number of entrants at the moment (with more expected to register in person during the week!) 81 Teams have entered consisting of... 161 Seniors 70 Juniors WOW! & we thought it was going to be a quiet one this year ;) See you all very soon :D (Sonja)
04.01.2022 At the entry point at the Baffle Creek Family Fishing Festival & Family Fun Day you will see a signed, laminated copy of this certificate. This shows you that we have followed & are adhering to the COVID Safe Event Checklist for events up to 500 people. (we will also have the completed checklist available for viewing if anyone wishes to see it)... We are required to put many new things in place, to be able to safely & legally operate the Baffle Creek Family Fishing Festival this year... this includes: - Adhering to all current Queensland Governments COVID-19 restrictions & guidelines - Ensure our volunteers are aware of all up to date regulations & responsibilities - Communicate to our attendees (entrants, stall holders, activity providers, entertainers, visitors & volunteers) of all the practices we have put in place & how you can help to make our event COVID safe for everyone - Ensure our event site is clearly marked with signage such as physical distancing reminders, hand sanitising stations, queue points & entry point directional & distancing markings, capacity numbers in certain areas of the event (ie: bar), seating requirements (ie: bar & main marquee), all to to help the event run smoothly - Maintain an attendance register which may be used for contact tracing purposes if required - Monitor numbers of visitors to our Family Fun Day to ensure we remain under 500 people - Ensure regular & thorough cleaning is maintained throughout our event And more... As you can see, there is alot of work that goes into bringing you a COVID safe event & we know that we can count on you all to help us ensure our requirements are maintained :D
03.01.2022 A quick "Shout Out" to any teams that are collecting their entry packs from ROCKY POINT BOAT RAMP next to Rocky Point Retreat Winfield... We have only had 5 teams let us know they are collecting their cards from there... if you are, please let us know or your team entry card will not be onboard our boat... Thanks... Sonja See more
