18.01.2022 NOW IN STOCK AT BAILEY ROAD PHARMACY MOOGOO HEAD LICE & EGG DESTROYER KIT They may be small, but those pesky head lice can cause a lot of stress for parents of school-aged children. You may have noticed that many head lice products use either insecticides or strong essential oils because they work the best. We don't use insecticides of course; it doesn't fit into our ingredient philosophy. Instead, we developed a unique delivery system for essential oils that helps them penetrate into the lice more effectively, and this means we need a much smaller amount. The smell and feel of lice treatment is also important, so we've made sure it smells nice. No kid wants to smell like Tea Tree!

17.01.2022 Allergies occur when a person’s immune system reacts to a substance in the environment which is harmless to most people. These substances are known as ‘allergens’ or ‘allergic triggers’ and may include dust mites, pollen, grasses and certain foods. Symptoms of an allergy may be mild to severe. A severe allergic reaction is known as anaphylaxis and is a medical emergency. Seek immediate help and call 000.... Allergic conditions are often common in families as the genetic tendency for the immune system to be sensitive to allergens can be passed from parent to child. Common allergies include: Asthma, Hay fever (also known as Allergic rhinitis), food allergies and skin rashes (eczema, dermatitis, hives). See more

16.01.2022 Hay fever is well and truly upon us! Here are some handy tips to help you during this season People, with allergies, being aware of their triggers helps avoid them or take preventative measures to reduce exposure, such as: Checking the pollen count online. Try to stay indoors or at least keep windows and doors closed if it is a high count or a windy day ... Vacuuming carpets weekly Using air-conditioning in the house and car Avoid hanging laundry outside - pollen can stick to sheets and towels. Using a dehumidifier at home Clearing nasal passages with saline spray about 10-15 minutes prior to using a medicated nasal spray will improve the effectiveness of the medicated spray. See more

07.01.2022 MOOGOO THREE STEPS TO HELPING PROBLEM SKIN. When it comes to skin problems, it's so important to ensure what you are putting on your skin is going to nourish, protect and soothe it. Many of our products were designed to work together, and therefore we recommend they’re used together to get the best results. For those that are affected by Eczema, it is very important to maintain the skin barrier function so that irritants are less likely to trigger a reaction. This is how we d...o it: 1. Cleanse with Milk Wash We combine small amounts of 5 different natural cleansers as this can be gentler on the skin than one concentrated cleanser. We chose natural cleansers that wash well without drying out the skin like ones that contain SLS can do. We also use a mix of natural skin conditioning ingredients. Because it’s so gentle it’s also a no-tears formulation in children's eyes. If you are a car mechanic, you may need something a bit stronger, but if you wish to stay clean without stripping the skin of oils, we think this formula is the bee’s knees. 2. Soothe with Eczema & Psoriasis Cream - This can be used on affected areas whenever the skin is itchy. Specifically formulated for the symptomatic relief of Eczema using skin-soothing, ingredients such as Canetlle Asiatica, German Chamomile and Aloe Extract. Natural oils like Sweet Almond and Olive Oil also help improve skin barrier function which is important for eczema-prone skin. (AustL 196718) - Always read the label, use only as directed. 3. Hydrate with Soothing MSM Cream Moisturise with a nourishing cream to ensure the skin maintains its moist skin barrier function. This one is packed with MSM (organic sulphur) which is a natural skin soothing compound. Just mention MSM and watch the Naturopaths go nuts! This one is also loaded with other skin-loving ingredients such as Sweet Almond Oil (high in the type of fatty acids skin needs) Coconut Oil, Aloe Vera and Honey all help to calm troubled skin.
