25.01.2022 Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those people who are struggling, to all those who have lost jobs and all those who are battling to keep their jobs. As a large family supported by small business its going to be a difficult and sad time. As we are still open for for business it does give us a sense of relief yet guilt as there is others that cant trade. We just wanted to let you know we are still operating as normal with strict guidelines in keeping with the current co...vid19 situation. We have a large shop space so social distancing wont be in issue. We can still do all repairs and resizes. All jewellery makes and rebuilds are still doable as this all happens behind closed doors. We can organise all our customers deliveries and drop offs while Australia post and freight services are still operating. Locally we are also happy to pickup and drop off the smallest of jobs to the biggest of jobs for you, including sales of furniture. We will keep updating our website and please keep on eye on facebook and Instagram. Stay safe, stay calm and enjoy what we have, Family and each other! We are not just here as a business to make money we are here to support each other! So please reach out if we can help you! Even if its just to say hi! The Collitons! See more

19.01.2022 This 19th century French ormolu mounted lapis lazuli style ceramic urn has been in the same family for at least three generations! Such a wonderful piece with the richness of the blue and the gilt mounts, at 50cm high its the most impressive urn/vase! BAIMBRIDGE was lucky enough to acquire a photo of the vase in situ with second generation owner Christian. The photo was taken in 1960 in his parents house at the prestigious Lennox Gardens London. His home has since been turne...d into 5 units with just one of the two bedroom units setting you back 2000 euro a week. At 1318 Euro ($2450) Im sure its a better buy than five days of rent in Lennox Gardens.

18.01.2022 A piece of furniture for your Wot Nots?! The wotnot, whatnot or etagere is a piece of furniture first made in countries such as England and America in the 18th century. Its purpose was to display all those things that have meaning in our lives as well as the things that dont! Yet of course they were still used for those things we just loved to display! This wotnot Is a beautiful piece, its Australian made dating to 1870 and constructed of Australian red cedar. My favou...rite thing about it is the condition, with it still untouched the colour and patina give it a such an inviting and warm feel. 178cm high 68cm wide 37cm deep $1800

11.01.2022 Back in the demure Victorian era, five blond and curly-haired sisters became famous for their use of cheeky innuendo on stage. The Barrison Sisters would flick up their skirts and flash fluffy kittens which were stitched into their underwear. This German bisque Naughty Squirter, dating to around 1910, depicts one of the sisters and her damp cat.

02.01.2022 Now is a good time to have a clean out and discover treasures hiding away in drawers and cupboards! This fine collection of Australian colonial jewellery has been hiding away until recently when it was brought in for valuation. Unfortunately these pieces are not for sale but it is nice to know such treasure is waiting to be found. So start drawer digging you never know what treasure may await!... The Albert/fob chain is made by Edward Fischer of Geelong. He is most well known for having been the Jeweller to make the first Melbourne cup in Australia in 1865. Prior to that the cup wad made in England.

02.01.2022 We love it when we acquire pieces like this at Baimbridge! Finding antique pieces in original condition is becoming more of a task each year, so when you have pieces like this come in its such a pleasure. Made of English oak, this bookcase exudes warmth from the 220 years of use without having ever been refinished. Nicely proportioned and still as practical today as it was when George III ruled in 1800!
