14.01.2022 The Bairnsdale Hub will be suspending normal operations as of midday Tuesday 24th March. This will mean that shedders cannot access the toilet block on site. President John & I have decided that for social & mental health reasons that we will not fully close the shed yet, as the risk is still low with no confirmed cases in East Gippsland. Obviously we expect that members will follow the current health advice & not attend if they are feeling unwell or have returned from a sit...e in Australia or overseas that increases the risk until their 14 day isolation period has been served. We will also expect that as far as is practical we follow good hygiene & social distancing rules; limit the numbers in the shed & more particularly the brew room, to limit any chance of passing on infection. Some members have decided not to attend & the winter exodus has begun anyway! There is a good hand washing soap available & in addition to the bench & tables we will wipe down the door handles & tools where appropriate. We will monitor the situation on a daily basis & update as necessary. Currently we continue to work on completing the Wildlife Victoria order for Koala transport boxes which are needed urgently. If you wish to drop in and assist or work on your jobs given the above advice we are here for a cuppa & chat as usual until further notice.
