19.01.2022 We hope to be able to race Boxing Night but it will all depend on the restrictions, as without a large crowed our events become unviable. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page and website for updates. We hope to see you all at the track soon. :)

14.01.2022 With racing and practice days resuming, we would just like to remind you to make sure you allow plenty of time for licence and registrations. There is a 10 wor...king day turn around on licences, although VSC are trying to turn them around a lot quicker at the moment, but unfortunately Australia Post is slow this year. You must physically hold your logbook and licence to be able able to race/practice, we cannot provide proof of licence/registrations for you to be able run. Also please message Michael or call after 6 weekdays as he is not available during work days to be able to take calls.

13.01.2022 BAIRNSDALE SPEEDWAY SEASON TO BEGIN ON JANUARY THE 9TH Bairnsdale Speedway Club have made the extremely difficult decision to cancel the annual and popular Boxing Day race meeting this season, Covid 19 event requirements and conditions meant that in order to have everything in place to ensure compliance, the club has made the decision to begin the season on January the 9th, two weeks later. Governing bodies of the community federal, state and local and governing bodies within... the sport of speedway have been busy for weeks with communications and Bairnsdale Speedway Club now believe they can safely and responsibly begin a season and provide local’s a safe place of entertainment. To be able to meet the requirements of the Covid guidelines, Bairnsdale Speedway Club has a long-standing core group of volunteers that will receive guidance on how to maintain a safe environment on January the 9th and beyond until directed that the restrictions can be removed. The decision not to hold the Boxing Day meeting was extremely difficult to make in terms of the Bairnsdale Speedway Club wishing to uphold its tradition of Christmas time family entertainment, however it was easy when the club considered community safety and ensuring they could cover the requirements in place. To do this, the club is calling for more volunteers to put their hands up and get involved. People who have a community spirit and a passion for local sport would be ideal with various duties around the club required to be met. Volunteers of course enter the venue for free on the days that they put their hands up to help and are offered food and drinks during their duties. If volunteering locally sounds like something you would like to do, you are encouraged to make contact with Bairnsdale Speedway Club. On January the 9th the Club will entertain fans with Sprintcars, Unlimited Sedan’s series round, Men’s Standard Saloons, Boost 2 Drive feature for Junior Standard Saloons and a Ladies Standard Saloon feature event supported by Curtis Engineering. The event is expected to be heavily supported and Speedway fans should follow the club’s social media outlet and local newspapers to keep on top of important details. The season will continue on January the 30th with a Limited Sportsman feature event. A Victorian title for the Unlimited Sedans is now slated for February 20th with the popular Sprintcars on that programme also. March the 20th the club will host the Victorian title for Division 2 Hot Rods and the season closes in April on the 3rd with Sprintcars once more, Wingless Sprints Garry Bowden Cup and the Keith Astrella Memorial for Compact Speedcars. 04.01.2022 Good evening, tonight should have been the start of our 20/21 season but due to Covid-19 we moved our season opener to Boxing Night. The committee is working hard to have evening thing in place for Boxing night so we can race and more information about how it's going to work will be posted in the coming weeks. When we have been allowed at the track we have been doing a few upgrades, like a ramp to the toilet block.... If you would like to volunteer with the club both on race nights and/or with the committee please get in touch. We hope you all have a great night and we hope to see you soon track side.

02.01.2022 The Bairnsdale Speedway committee has made the decision to cancel our November race meeting, due to Covid restrictions. Our season opener will now be our Boxing Day race meeting. We hope the restrictions will be eased by then so we can all have a some what normally Christmas.

01.01.2022 CURRENT STATE OF VSC REGISTRATIONS The Victorian Speedway Council, can report that Drivers are getting into the groove when it comes to registering their race ...vehicles. We have had a 41% increase in registrations since our first post with regards to how registrations were looking for the season. SCRUTINEERS Remember with scrutineers wanting to catch up with family they have not seen during Covid and with Christmas coming up and employment commitments thrown in there also, the time your Club SCRUTINEERS have available to see you could be impacted. Be sure to have your car ready and lock in a time with your SCRUTINEERS as soon as possible in order to get your paperwork lodged. Regards VSC
