This Emergency Warning is being issued for Bindi, Brookville, Brumby, Buchan, Buchan South, Bullumwaal, Cassilis, Dawson City, Deptford, Doctors Flat, Dogtown, Double Bridges, Ensay, Ensay North, Ensay South, Forktown, Holstons, Kilgowar, Marthavale, Nowa Nowa, Nunniong, Omeo, Purtle, Reedy Flat, Ryans, Stirling, Strobridge, Swifts Creek, Tambo Crossing, The Walnuts, Timbarra, Tongio, Tongio Munjie, Tongio West, Waterholes, Wattle Circle, Wentworth, Wulgulmerang West. There are a cluster of bushfires threatening communities in these areas that are out of control. The fire has crossed the Great Alpine Road to the north of Tambo Crossing. Power to the area south of Swifts Creek has been cut. This may affect mobile and landline phone coverage. A southerly wind change has occurred and may cause the fire to spread rapidly in a northerly direction. There may be power outages due to the impact of fires.
