21.01.2022 Hello all, unfortunately I come bearing bad news again. Jack Heil, a long time member who came to be a member at BGC in/around the early 80's has also passed away. Jack was a good golfer when he came to Bairnsdale, having been a very good golfer previously.... I remember him taking the time to be very helpful to we junior golfers in the 80's. Jack was also a prolific visitor to Tambo Valley GC. He will be be missed by all that knew him. Our condolences to Jack's family.

18.01.2022 Professional golf resumes in country Victoria this month with the The Big Garage Bairnsdale Subaru Pro-Am on Wednesday 13 January. The annual event will signal ...the start of a two week stretch of professional golf to be played across the great Gippsland region. With all the challenges we have faced throughout 202 it’s great to have events like the Big Garage Subaru Bairnsdale Pro-Am back on the calendar and supporting our members said Heath McLeod, Tournament Coordinator for the PGA of Australia. In a move to attract more females to the sport there will be a specific bonus pool for female’s professionals only. Will be the East Gippsland Shire Council purse and thanks to the support from the local council the female professionals will have the chance to share in an extra $2,500 in bonus money. Having the support of the East Gippsland Shire Council again this year has been great. All players have been starved of opportunities during 2020 but especially our females PGA Professionals Female PGA Professionals are recognised as some of the best coaches and they’re not always recognised for their playing abilities. We’re keen to showcase their talents and help drive female participation in our sport in regional areas added McLeod Entry is free for everyone with the action beginning at 7.30am with the headline players Olympian Marcus Fraser, Maffra’s David Bransdon and 2017 Vic Open Champion Simon Hawkes set to tee of just after 12pm. The Garage Subaru Bairnsdale Pro-Am will be on Wednesday 13 January, and will be followed be events at Traralgon, Warragul Yarram and finishing with the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia Gippsland Super 6 tournament at Yallourn Golf Club 21-24 January. 10.01.2022 Good evening everyone. It is with sadness that we pass on the news that Jack Darby, a Life Member of the Sale Golf club, has passed away. Jack's influence on golf in East Gippsland stretches back some 60 odd years.... We join the greater golfing community of East Gippsland in sending out thoughts to Jack's family.

06.01.2022 Hello everyone, I hope you are ready to face the weekend. The club's long time cleaner, Barry Hoskin, is moving on due to an increasing business workload. As such, we are now looking for a replacement. The role consists of 6-10 hours of cleaning per week with some flexibility on days and times.... The typical duties include: - - Cleaning the men's, women's and disabled toilets. - Replenishing paper towel and toilet paper. - Mopping and vacuuming the kitchen, clubrooms and entries. - Internal window cleaning on a scheduled basis. - De-cobwebbing and a scheduled basis. - Emptying all clubhouse bins. - Other duties typically associated with commercial cleaning.
