19.01.2022 I've spent the morning making the Spitty look like the work horse she was. First time I've done Weathering like this and I reckon it looks ok. Clear coat to come and I'm up to the final balancing. New fuel tank fitted as I didn't trust the Dubro one.

10.01.2022 Some good news finally! BADMAC will be open for business as of today, Thursday 17th September. The original gate lock will be installed. Rob and Graeme are hoping to get the strip mowed today. As we are still limited to a maximum of 10 members at a time, a rostering system is being used. ... Process: Decide what day you want to attend the field Call Ian Mackay on either: Shop 51526506 or Mobile 0407861131 and book your spot. If you can’t make it on your nominated day please let Ian know so someone else can go. Ian will forward the daily list to someone allocated to fly that day. Friday will also be allocated as a second club day. But please remember that the field is open to members 7 days a week. We are still bound by the DHHS rules. Wear a mask, socially distance and sanitise often. If you are feeling unwell stay away. The Kitchen/clubroom area is not to be used other than unlocking the door to allow quick access to the defibrillator. Call me if you have any concerns. 09.01.2022 I am sad to say that tonight the Committee has decided to close BADMAC to all flying from midnight Wednesday 5th August for six weeks in line with stage 3 restrictions. On a brighter note we will be using the time to start establishing two new diagonal strips. Regards, Tony

07.01.2022 So the Spitty is ready for certification. On the workbench is Darcy's Hanger 9 Cessna. It had a nitro fuel soaked floor which I'm replacing. Repowering with a RCGF26 petrol engine. Should be a nice scale flyer. The next project is a Ziroli P40 Kittyhawk with a DLE 85. Can't wait to finish it and buy a Moki radial for something, perhaps a 1/4 scale P47?
