Our Vi...xen head represents the country through the eyes of those surrounded by the bushfires, hoping for more rain, while the blue symbolises the donations of water that were received from Melbourne during the fires See more

22.01.2022 The footprints are of those who were evacuated along the Gippsland Line, walking down the centre of the dress away from the fires towards Lakes Entrance. Alice Pepper, our Indigenous Artist

We do have something to strive for. Let’s keep doing the right thing, and together work towards the return of community netball. 14.01.2022 The Bairnsdale Netball Association welcomes the return of its junior competition on Thursday 23rd of July. The structure of the evening is different and there are a number of requirements that all players, coaches, umpires and parents need to adhere to. We ask that everyone please familiarise themselves with these changes prior to tomorrow night. Some main points are; * separate entry and exit points * defined arrival and departure times for each age group "arrive, play, le...ave" * following social distancing rules * limitations on those that can be within the playing area * recording attendance details * players need to have their own water bottle and sanitiser * restrictions in relation to access change rooms and toilets Please contact your Team Manager or the Association if you have any questions or need further information. 08.01.2022 BNA JUNIOR COMPETITION CANCELLED Further to our post on Sunday afternoon and after the Premiers announcement that regional Victoria is returning to Stage 3 restrictions, which unfortunately includes the suspension of community sport from 11.59pm Wednesday 5th August 2020 for the next 6 weeks. The BNA Committee has now convened and made the tough decision to cancel the junior competition for the remainder of the season, which was due to finish on Thursday 17th September 202...0. The BNA will work on the return of netball in our region as developments and restrictions are eased permitting community sport to recommence. The BNA appreciates all the hard work that the BNA Committee, Team Managers and volunteers undertook to enable the return of the junior competition, albeit short and sweet. It was great to see the smiling faces of players and umpires back on the court enjoying their netball. Once again thank you for supporting the BNA and we look forward to seeing all the players and umpires back on the court again in the future. Regards BNA Committee E. [email protected]

04.01.2022 2020 NETBALL VICTORIA (NV) MEMBERSHIPS UPDATE Thank you all for your patience while we attempt to navigate our continuously changing return to netball in 2020. Some of you will have already seen that NV has commenced the process of contacting all current members by email regarding their 2020 Netball Victoria Memberships.... We proudly support Netball Victoria and encourage any of you who may be in a position to do so, to consider pledging your 2020 membership as an investment in the future of the game we all love. BAIRNSDALE NETBALL ASSOCIATION PLEDGE As a proud Netball Association, we are very grateful that Netball Victoria has demonstrated sound decision making - both now and in the past - for the overall benefit and longevity of our sport. As a sport, we have always done a lot with a little. And this is evident now more than ever. In an environment where some multi-national corporations have faltered- a small, not-for-profit state sporting organisation, is still chugging along. It’s not quite business as normal working environments, staff hours and the way netball is delivered have all had to change but it is business as usual. Netball Victoria exists to improve people’s lives, and we are thankful that they will withstand the pandemic and be there to support organisations like ours and our Clubs now and into the future. Our Association/League is also in a sound position. Things will be difficult, but with the support we receive from both Netball Victoria and our community, we know we will be okay. In all areas of our lives we have been forced to adapt over recent months, and netball has been no exception to this. But at the end of the day we #PlayForTheLove. And the small sacrifices we have had to make will soon seem a distant memory when we are back on the court and thriving once again. A strong Netball Victoria is important to us, not just for our Association/League, but for the overall longevity of the sport we love. At this time, we are strongly encouraging our members to pledge their 2020 Netball Victoria Membership. Your Netball Victoria Membership is an investment in the future of our sport. Having a Netball Victoria Membership is saying, yes, I support my Association/League, my Club, my Coaches and my Umpires. It’s saying I love my netball, and I want to see it thrive on the other side. https://youtu.be/zDrx1-vbsOM
