16.01.2022 Well done Mr Rhys Perkins on a very good 1st Dan testing. All the persistance and effort showed on the floor today On behalf of your Instructors, fellow students and supporters, congratulations.

15.01.2022 Instructing is something that not all Black Belts have the desire to do. Of those that want to instruct, most will experience the satisfaction of seeing a student comprehend and subsequently benefit from a bit of information that you have passed on. Of those that have seen students benefit from their instruction, some will identify with that beautiful moment a student expresses their heart felt thanks for helping them understand the 'why' or 'how' something is done.... The lucky few instructors will experience the humbling experience of having the class plan and present a gift that is born from the values and ethics that you yourself practice and teach them. I have had the good fortune to find myself in that very position a few times now and each time it is such a humbling experience. The reason we teach is because we have a desire to help others. Getting recognition is not the goal of an instructor. Seeing the values and life skills you promote reflected in your students behaviour is the ultimate reward and those are the most memorable moments. To the students, parents and supporters of the Ipswich and Rosewood clubs, I am truly grateful to have the privilege of knowing and teaching you. Thank you for your gift, it means so much on so many levels.

14.01.2022 Last of the testing results handed out last night. Congratulations Miss Mariah Andrews

14.01.2022 Thank you everyone for an awesome last night in 2020 for the Ipswich and Rosewood clubs. Here are some pics, there will be more to come once we get time to sit down and go through them. There will also be some catchup posts from the BB testings and to wrap up our Adopt a Family Appeal as well.... 2020 was a challenging year for everyone and last night proved one very important thing. We are all family, we are community, we are there for each other and we are there for others. Mrs Broom and I would like to thank you all for everything you have done and continue to do, not just in the DoJang but also outside. As individuals and as families, at school or at work or in everyday life, we see and hear examples of students/supporters doing things and taking on responsibilities that reflect the culture and ethics that we learn as part of our TKD journey. Gen Choi and Senior Master Birch would be very proud, as are we.

14.01.2022 Just a reminder to those testing tomorrow to make sure testing fees are paid

04.01.2022 Thank you to all those who helped celebrate the end of our 2020 TKD year in the Lockyer Valley today. On behalf of Mr Richards and myself, I would like to thank you all for your efforts in 2020.... Stay safe and have a great break over Christmas and the New Year. Come back in the New Year ready to listen, ready to learn, ready to rock 2021.

04.01.2022 Best of luck to all the BB candidates for tomorrow's testing. Ipswich/Rosewood students and supporters wish Mr Rhys Perkins all the best.

03.01.2022 Grand Master Martin and his crew from the USTF in Casper (Wyoming) do a roadside cleanup every year as part of their contributution to the greater community. This is such an important part of our art ... the moral culture training, in this case Public Service. Other clubs may (hopefully) contribute to their communities through other means.... Our contribution to the community is through fund raising for charity events and by participating in the Adopt A Family appeal each year, so don't forget to get those donations in to us as soon as you can. We only have next week with Monday being a training night and Wednesday being our end of year breakup. If you have donations of non-perishable goods then please make sure you bring them Monday night so we can get it all packaged and delivered to the distribution centre by Thursday. Many thanks to all who have contributed so far, fantastic to see the spirit of giving still alive in what has been such a difficult year. If you haven't yet, then please bring something along ... every can or packet or food voucher will help our adopted family not only enjoy Christmas but hopefully enjoy the start of 2021. See you all next week.

03.01.2022 Sending positive vibes to Mr Broom for his 5th Dan testing tomorrow. No luck needed...you got this Sir!

03.01.2022 This years "Adopt a Family Appeal" collection has been delivered to the drop off point ready for distribution, 13 packages in total plus numerous vouchers. Thank you to those from the Ipswich and Rosewood clubs who contributed to putting this donation together. COVID has hit certain sectors of the community hard. Unfortunately for some, the struggle to have the most basic of needs is a daily one that is endured week after week, year after year.... Your donations will help lift that burden over this Christmas & New Year period for the chosen recipient family. The appeal organisers were extremely grateful for your efforts, as will be the family who receives it. We learn about Moral Culture being part of our development in the "Do" (Way of living), we strive to be better members of society, helping build a better community. So yet again this year, Mrs Broom and I would like to sincerely thank you all for your generousity in helping others ... so very proud. "There is no better way to self satisfaction and human growth than the constant development of a generous nature"
