24.01.2022 Throwback to my little cutie Jacob enjoying his cookie made by yours truly where has the time gone!!

22.01.2022 So this is my first Insta TV video so please forgive my terrible film and editing skills, I promise to improve! Here is a short video of me making Kohakutou, Japanese Crystal Candy. Hard on the outside and soft jelly-like texture on the inside! Inspired by @sophiamyacupcakes ... I used the recipe from @sugargeekshow. I couldn’t find Telephone brand Agar Agar powder so used the Gold Cup brand instead. This is the key ingredient to making Kohakutou. It was super simple and quick to make. The longest part is letting them dry out for 1-2 days to allow time for them to form that hard candy-like outer shell. I used cotton candy Lorann oil flavouring and unfortunately didn’t have any liquid food colouring so I used gel, but I think next time I’ll definitely try the liquid colouring as the candies won’t turn out so dark and the colour will be more present. Can’t wait to use these pretties on some cupcakes for that extra glam Let me know if you’ve tried making these yourself or what you think! I hope this video was helpful! #kohakutou #sugargeekshow #sophiamyacupcakes #ediblecrystals #crystalcandy

18.01.2022 This year I decided not to renew my kitchen registration as we were about to embark on a full home renovation. We moved out of our home late February so that we could create our dream home (we are about 6 weeks off being able to move back in ). In the meantime, we fell pregnant (it was planned, not an ISO baby ) and so I have been busy ‘baking’ something a little different, a little baby, due January 2021. I’m so excited to be able to share my journey here and I can’t wait to get back into my own kitchen and renew my registration next year once we are all settled in with the new bubs and get back to doing what I love, baking up a storm! In the meantime, I’m trying to bake when I can for fun and am enjoying all the sleep I can get! X

12.01.2022 Throwback to this gorgeous smash cake I made for little Aishleen For those who don’t know, my husband and I have been renovating our home for the last 8 months so I have put my caking business on hold until we move back into our house and I can register my new kitchen. I’ve also got baby no.2 on the way due in January so lots has been happening for us this year. I went to @bakeanddeco yesterday to pick up a few caking supplies for an upcoming cake I’m making next month an...d I was like a little kid in a candy store.. SO EXCITED!! And it made me realise how much I miss making cakes. I so can’t wait to get back into the kitchen making sweet goodies on a regular basis when I’m not feeling like a whale or sleep deprived CAN’T WAIT!! To all the cakers who have kept their business going throughout 2020, I have so much admiration for you and still draw so much inspo from seeing everyone’s amazing work

05.01.2022 When you make a cake for an event that you also attend, are you always the designated cake cutter?

03.01.2022 Behind the scenes is a little toddler trying to steal your cake! I can’t tell you how many times I need to scream ‘DON’T TOUCH THE CAKE!!!!’ Poor kid doesn’t understand why he can’t eat every cake I make this was a while ago so Jacob is a little older and wiser now, but with bambino no.2 on the way, I can’t guarantee your cake will be safe at my place!
