I’m a good baker but decorating was never my strong point at all, but with the help of @bakebelieveau my visions came to life. This is now the 4th cake I have made from @bakebelieveau and each one I get so much bet...ter with the icing. This one was scary to start with it being a shaped cake. It was baked in a rectangular pan and I cut the shape with a stencil that came in the kit. I was so nervous, but it was so easy! Step by step instructions helped to keep me on track. How cool is the face with edible stickers!!!! I can’t wait for the next birthday to create another beautiful cake! 07.01.2022 Made for little helpers Often most parents I connect with are too nervous to get the kids to help, as baking for them is new & hard. So what’s the secret? Preparation.... Start by splitting the jobs. Day 1: baking, up to a month in advance (yep, freezing your cake means they stay super fresh and moist, less stress for you & the kids can help). Prep all the ingredients on the bench and call the kids when ready to add and mix. Simple. Day 2: icing & decorating. Prep the ingredients, then call them to help add and mix them altogether. Then depending on the age of the kid, they can help decorate too. Popping a chocolate button or topper on a cake is so engaging and fun for the little ones. It might be a little off centre, but remember homemade cakes are imperfectly perfect. Personally with 2 kids under 5, I get them to help with the mixing (cakes & icing), then send them off to lick the spoon when I need to concentrate. For me getting their help to make the finishing touches on their own cakes, like adding the sprinkles, means more to both of us then having a perfect cake. It’s all about the experience, together. 03.01.2022 Tip No. 5: How to make chocolate cake?! It’s super simple, add @supadust organic cocoa powder to your organic vanilla cake mix and voila! Quality organic ingredients with no preservatives, artificial ingredients and non-GMO. It’s so mouth-watering delicious you’ll be back for seconds, and thirds, and...! Now that’s a promise :)...
