23.01.2022 Wednesday 11 November marks 20 years from the original art auction that kick-started the Purple House, a remote dialysis service headquartered in Alice Springs, owned and operated by the local Aboriginal community. On this important day and during NAIDOC Week, the Baker Institute invites you to celebrate the journey of Purple House and hear from CEO Sarah Brown AM. Sarah has been helping the Indigenous Directors to run the organisation since its inception more than 17 years ago. In 2017 she was Hesta Australia’s Nurse of the Year. Research indicates that heart-related health issues are more prevalent in those who have had previous cancer treatment and have risk factors, such as high blood pressure and being overweight.
