09.01.2022 We at Arthur Clives are extremely thankful for all of the men and women who have served our country, and especially our family members, heres a very personal story of a family member who served in Timor we hope that can give you some insight of such sacrifice and bravery. I was in Mortar Platoon before we went over... because we were classed as a Suppprt Company we didnt get the normal gig like the rifle company.. we were given the task of QRF (Quick Response Force) based... out of Moleana.. we were working directly with 5 Aviation with the Black Hawks.. our job was to be deployed anywhere in our AO (Area of Operation). We would get dropped in by Black Hawk, secure the area then get taken over by the rifle companies when it was secure.. I will never forget one night, we got dropped in to a village after a report that a number of militia were setting up camp.. I remember because our night vision was shit at the best of times and I remember walking through this village just waiting for a shot to ring out...they found them the next morning hidden in an area that we had walked past.. all armed with AK47s... was very humbling..
