24.01.2022 Last week I met with @ivan_zafiris and his little boy, Johnny, to go for an easy astro shooting. This was the first time after my knee operation (8 weeks ago by that day) and it felt so good. I was going crazy at home, not being able to go out and capture all these beautiful sunsets and sunrises (hopefully soon). At this time of the year it is better to capture the Milkyway setting. That mean looking for places opposite to the beach and the hard part is the light pollution. 21.01.2022 I took these pictures between in January 2020. We went for a short roadtrip to try catch the sunrise. When we got there it wasn't so promising. I took some landscape shots, and then when we got enough light I decided to take some portraits shots. 18.01.2022 Weeks ago I went to an event that @erinacamerahouse organized with @nikonaustralia to test some gear. I already have the Nikon Z7 (what a great camera). I asked for the wide angle 14-30 mm to shoot this beautiful seascape, (I tried before at @sydneyphotographyexpo but I wasn't happy, becuase it wasn't my field of photography). This time I enjoyed !!! 17.01.2022 What an unexpected sunset!!! Monday afternoon I met with @ivan_zafiris and @006.pix to get some swell shots, because a big swell was arriving. After a lot of pictures of different waves and surfers, we started to see the clouds getting some bright Colors (first was yellow). We looked back at the horizon and the sky started to clear out. So that was a signal that we were going to have a burner. I changed lenses, and put my filters on and started to look for compositions. 14.01.2022 2020 wasn't an easy year for anyone, in Australia we started with the bushfires, then floods and then Covid, changing plans for everyone. Also with all this happening we were able to go out in our state to take pictures and bring some colours to our live. Remembering that after a dark night always the sun will come out. 14.01.2022 Who said that photography isn't funny? @jeff_lapera @ivan_zafiris and @photograph_mnn went on Saturday night to North Narrabeen, to do some astrophotography (knowing that the milkyway was going to rise after 12), but we wanted to add something extra to this night, and we decided to use an old trick to create a bit of light painting so we used the Steel Whool Spinning. For this shot, first I shot the milkyway by myself, then we did 3 spins and I think the best shot was this on...e. After that I blended/overlayed the shots, to get all the details of the milkyway in the shot with the Steel Whool. 07.01.2022 SLIDE LEFT TO SEE THE FULL IMAGE Last Monday I came across an unexpected sunset at Dee Why Rockpools. I only went passed to practice some flow shooting. Was unaware what was about to unfold; all I wanted to do was catch some flow and practice using my Nikon Z7.... I thought of my close friend @antoinesemrani_photography to see if he wanted to join me and he did. After getting our cameras in position and taking some shots; my friend screamed Bakhos this is going to be a Big Shot - the swell was so big it hit the rocks with so much intensity soaking my poor friend. We shared a proud moment we will never forget; some onlookers couldnt believe we were laughing so much they were so shocked. We dried our cameras and kept shooting. In the distance we saw some tiny strings of high clouds forming; we knew we were in for a magnificent sunset and no doubt it was unexpected. 05.01.2022 This image wasn't the one that I was going to post today but yesterday there was a beautiful light show in the sky. A big cloud cell came through Sydney with a lot of lightning, strong winds and strong rain. I stood on my balcony for maybe a bit more of 30 minutes. 02.01.2022 Due to Covid-19, the great light festival Vivid 2020 was cancelled. Every year they create amazing light shows all around Sydney CBD and other places nearby. This was going to be my 3rd year going. 01.01.2022 After the BBQ with the @ozscapers boys, I went to Scout the Bare Island to locate my sunset spot. When I found it, I put my backpack in a safe place, where it wouldn't get wet, and started to get ready. I saw @ags_sss taking shots of the waves, and in my mind I said, this will be a great silhouette, and I couldn't be wrong with that. I took some shots of her without her knowing and at the same time we finished taking our own ones. I thanked her for being my model. Laughing, ...I showed her the shots and she loved them.
