24.01.2022 *BREAK IN* Balance Gymnastics was broken into on Tuesday the 2nd of February at 10:20pm. The individual made an attempt to enter via the front door but when that failed, entry was gained by breaking down the side entry door. Internal damage was caused and cash tins with drinks money in it were stolen. 45 minutes prior to this, the same individual broke into Jets Gymnastics in Eltham. We managed to attain some camera footage of the thief (see attached videos) however authoriti...es are yet to identify the individual. Please share this post and help us catch this thief. Any information on this matter would be much appreciated.

24.01.2022 As a club we are so grateful to have had a parent take the time to give us this feedback, it makes it all worthwhile I could see how passionate you all were to welcome everyone back to the gym yesterday. Indeed this was evident even from the initial conversation on the phone with Trisha! The enthusiasm of Paul and the teachers was terrific also. I was really happy for you to be able to return to doing what you love, and start getting the gym operational again. I also want...ed to let you know what yesterday meant to my son and I. I have always thought of myself as a pretty good Dad, but Covid-19 has made me realise that most of my strengths as a parent are in getting out and doing things with my kids. Months of jigsaw puzzles, paintings and crafts has been doable, but I wasn't exactly playing to my strengths. My son is a strong little kid and pretty co-ordinated, but he is prone to be a bit socially timid (and physically at times too). Before covid he'd climb cargo nets 4m high. But as some fears kicked in we found that when we first hit parks a month ago he was scared of ladders with more than 2 rungs. We have been slowly building him up. Yesterday's gym class was magic for us. He smashed it and we had heaps of fun together. He is still talking about it to anyone who'll listen and showing off his ‘pig stamp’. In my eyes you guys are heroes for making it happen! It meant a hell of a lot to us. - From one of our lovely kindergym parents. So glad we can make a difference - it’s why we do what we do!

16.01.2022 After an extensive application process our super coach Sally Young has been selected as one of only ten female coaches from across Australia to take part in the NextGen Accelerated Coaching Program The program will be run by Gymnastics Australia’s National Elite Coach Manager, Michelle De Highden and aims to provide a unique learning environment that will provide these high level coaches with the opportunity to develop and build on their skill sets. 11.01.2022 What a fun way to finish another week of zooms with the WG competitive stream! We all joined together for our 80s workshop filled with strength, skills, dance and 80s hits. It was great to see everybody’s hard work, positivity and fabulous outfits. We are so proud of everyone during this time, we can only get stronger

11.01.2022 *BREAK IN UPDATE* The individual that broke into Balance and Jets Gymnastics on Tuesday the 2nd of February has also targeted BTYC and Knox Gymnastics Club, with break ins being reported on the 28th of January and 6th of February respectively. All video footage is being sent to the authorities and we are awaiting further instruction regarding the investigation. As always we thank you guys for your ongoing support - we are so fortunate to be part of this wonderful community

03.01.2022 It’s been a total of 218 days since our doors were officially shut in March this year and we couldn’t be happier to finally be given a date for our reopening! Come November 8th the club will be starting back up, with a capped number limit of 20 people and brand new covid-safe policies to ensure you and your little ones are as safe as possible upon returning to gymnastics! Once again we want to say a big thank you to you guys, your continued support means more than you know! Fingers crossed the case numbers continue to stay low and we get to see ALL of your faces in the gym ASAP!

01.01.2022 The topic of this weeks Kindergym video is Rain & Rainbows - a very fitting theme following the latest Covid-Update in which the Premier announced a timeline for the reopening of sporting facilities. While we are yet to be provided with the intimate details, the hope is to be open and running in a modified format by sometime in November. The team at Balance have been hard at work developing and implementing our Covid-Safe policies to ensure we are ready to go as soon as the green light is given.
