13.01.2022 SIMPLIFYING SKINCARE okay so we all get a little flustered with our skin, and use wayyyyy too many products, over exfoliate and unintentionally strip our skin & cause inflammation. Recently I stripped my skin, over exfoliate, used charcoal and harsh products (I know, I'm always advising you all to do the opposite) but wi th pregnancy hormones leaving, my skin felt dull, clogged and oily. This leas to a mad breakout followed by super thirsty skin, I felt tight and... dry all over my face plus big pimples I haven't had in ages! Why? Because when you use too harsh products, wrong mixes or over exfoliate, you strip your skin of its natural oils and stop it from naturally regulating your skin. Your skin is then dried out and starts over producing more oil, causing excess oil production, clogged pores and unbalanced ph. It also becomes extra sensitive (make sure SPF is used). . But it's okay!! To reverse this, give your skin a break! So starting on a Monday, if you feel you need to, stop all products, give your skin a break. Just rinse your face at night (I rarely cleanse ) or use warmed honey and water. Then take a break from serums except HA if you really want to, use cool aloe Vera instead then go to bed. The next night do the same thing, add a healing balm or sensitive moisturiser the next night. Continue to do this until you notice a change, add 1 product back in at a time and remember, you do not need more then 2 serums, exfoliate once or twice a week MAX! Don't fuss over your skin, it's never going to be perfect, we have hormones and a life. Do not get up in the face of your mirror, touching and picking only spreads bacteria! And pull the hair off your face, the hair oils can cause more breakouts. And love yourself for whatever your body gives you Happy long weekend my beauties xx . . 12.01.2022 LETS DO THIS! So an update, I have completed my course in advanced nutritional counselling, just waiting to sit my exam. Now I'm moving on to a few electives, -nutrition for disease management -sports nutrition & my fav... -CHILDREN'S NUTRITION. I'll be working through children's nutrition, covering pre-conception, pregnancy, post birth, infant & childhood nutrition. SOOOOO EXCITED! I get such a kick out of learning, I love the body hence being a beauty therapist as well as doing nutrition, nutrition combines so importantly with beauty, our skin tells us what's happening on the inside of our bodies, it's so important. I'll extend my knowledge as much as I can. Oh and I'm almost complete on dermaplaning! All this baby time off has been put to good use See more

08.01.2022 PURELY LASHES SALE Seriously I have not had a serum work so well on my lashes before & not give me red eyes my lashes are so long & I'm not even consistent with using it anymore, I probably use it every third day. And with summer days coming, no one wants to ruin their mascara or falsies in the ocean, you really don't need to attend to your lashes once growth has started (4-6 weeks, 12 for optimal results). So to celebrate me making a small step back into working again, I'm doing a sale. $65 For this serum!! Usually $78!! DM to purchase, you won't regret it!

05.01.2022 SUMMER FOODS How we treat our skin over summer is so important, as important as what we consume for our skin. . Did you know, foods coloured red, yellow and orange contain betacarotene and lycopene which help the skin defend itself against the harm Australian summer sun, acting as a natural sunscreen for your skin. It also helps pigment the skin with a sunkissed tone, helping support the melanin production. .... Obviously nothing is better then sunscreen on your skin, it's so important to apply sunscreen daily, especially those high in zinc! But add these foods to your diet and you'll have added benefits and a natural glow. Other foods include papaya, sweet potato, pumpkin, berries, eggs. . Enjoy these goodies before the summer so your skin is ready! See more
