Please feel free to email me on:... [email protected] or touch base on messenger. I will respond as soon as I can. All advise is general in nature and aimed to put you in the right direction to where your help can be accessed. Please share with your friends in need. 10.01.2022 How do the new government support measures affect small business?!? The MASSIVE one is instant asset write off for asset purchases up to $150,000 until 30 June 2020. If you have been considering investing in infrastructure for your business please contact me to discuss how this affects you and could severely decrease this years tax liability in the right situation!! However the government are also offering assistants in other ways that have not been spoken about in the media ...for those affected by the ongoing issues with this virus regarding tax payments: - Payment deferrals - Remittance of interest and penalties - Low interest loans - OPPORTUNITY TO VARY DOWN MARCH TAX INSTALMENTS And other options for those experiencing severe financial hardship. 03.01.2022 The 'Economic Lifeline' PM today makes announcements that in my opinion based on the many many business owners and people I have helped this week essentially fills the gaps in the prior stimulus packages. 1. 'Job Seeker' payment eligibility change to spouse income threshold. Now $79762 up from $48k. So if you have lost your job and your partner still earns income up to $79762pa you will now be eligible. ... 2. A flat rate of $1500 per fortnight 'Job Keeper' payment announced ( you can get either Job Keeper or Job Seeker not both). This is paid to the employer which is then passed onto the employee, even if no longer working for you (but was as of 1st March). Small business must have seen 30% decrease in turnover as a result of current economic climate/virus restrictions. Full time, part time and casual (for more than 12months) eligible but applies to sole traders also. Designed to keep the relationships between employee and employer. If employee still able to work, then employer receives this to assist with payment of wages/ business survival. No super guarantee payable on the $1500pf. Business to Register interest with the Australian Tax Office and can expect the payment if eligible from 1 May 2020 but backdated to today. If you have been laid off, please contact your employer and see if they intend to partake in this 'Job Keeper' plan. Employers: contact your Accountant for assistance, we are here to help you through these impossible times. That is all we know so far, the intricate details will follow once this is passed through parliament. Stay Safe and Stay Home people Bye for now, Amy
