22.01.2022 The events of the last few days have been very stressful for us all here in Melbourne, and it is with regret that I have decided to close Balance Acupuncture during Stage 4 Lockdown. The Stage 4 DHHS regulations, along with the advice from my acupuncture association ANTA, mean that all routine & non-urgent acupuncture appointments need to cease. Consequently I have made the difficult decision to close my clinic doors. I will however be in contact with all patients who have ...an appointment booked to confirm their cancellation. I am very appreciative of my wonderful patients who have supported my small business. I will be up and running again when we emerge from Stage 4 and the situation improves, and I look forward to supporting you all again. Until then I will remain closed in order to play my part in helping to reduce movement and to benefit our local community and all of Victoria. I would like to assure everyone that I am still available for support and any questions you may have, despite not being able to see you face-to-face. 14.01.2022 Following the announcement of the lockdown extension on Sunday, I want to reach out to all my patients to let you know that Balance Acupuncture is still here to support you. The restrictions on healthcare have been extended to Sept 28th and potentially until the end of October. More information will follow, as the situation is clarified. Currently my clinic doors are open for face-to-face appointments but with some changes.... 1. Routine/ Maintenance treatments are not permitted. 2. Acupuncture treatment may be carried out, if the absence of treatment would result in a significant change/deterioration in the patient’s functional independence, requiring escalation of care (e.g. leading to needing a specialist appointment or hospital visit). In other words, if you feel your condition is deteriorating significantly and without acupuncture treatment you may need to access specialist or hospital care, please get in touch. We can then decide together what options are available to you. This applies to both physical and mental/emotional issues. Telehealth appointments are still available!
