25.01.2022 This is how I calmed Lucy down for bedtime tonight. She was a bit upset and said she was feeling sick. I actually think she is a bit worried about something at daycare so I thought some time with me in my calm space would make her feel better. We had some rocks, eye pillows, heat packs and lavender essential oil to soothe her emotions. Once in bed it only took her 10 min to fall asleep.

Being able to deeply connect in with your body, listen and feel what it is telling you and respond to its needs in the most appropriate way is so important. Ask yourself what the root cause for your concern is and listen to your gut. Often you will hear its answer before you finished asking the question. If your body and mind is under constant stress and you feel you need to call in sick to work because you are not coping, you need to stop and change a few things around. Here are a some things you can do:... 1. Cut out any non-essential activity that feels draining to you, feels like it is hard work to attend or that absolutely exhausts you. 2. Then change the physically challenging work/exercises to more nurturing activities that stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system. 3. But the body might still remember. In a similar situation, or a sitation that in just a fraction reminds you of the traumatic event, your heart might start to pound and your body start to sweat. You know, cognitively, that this is a safe situation but your body does not. It remembers how it felt.... This is why you can hold so much emotional and energetic tension in your body. 14.01.2022 Take you time - there is no rush I can not stress this enough, the effect of a massage or healing session continues after the treatment. That is why it is more than OK to stay on the table in a semi-concious state! I want you to slowly come out of the trans you have been in for the past 60 or 90 minutes and really feel the effects of the treatment. It gives your parasympathetic nervous system a chance to wake up. If you rush to get up and home, you might feel a bit sensitve and unbalanced as your nervous systems are trying to find their way back to reality. Here is me after a treatment. I often fall asleep and need to get woken up.. and that is OK too :)

02.01.2022 Exhaustion I am noticing an increase of exhausted clients. Not only has this been an incredibly tough year but we are also heading in to one of the most busy and stressful periods of the year. I would like to invite you all to take a minute and just stop in your tracks and really connect in with your body and mind. Where are your energy levels at? Are you running a million miles an hour? Are you breathing properly? How is your sleep? Remind yourself to slow down and sit down ...and plan out your schedule for the rest of the year. When are you having treatments? When do you see your doctor? When are the after school activities? When do you buy your groceries? Often we have all this hanging over us and taking up space in our head. But by adding it to a calendar, you can visualise your schedule and can take them off your mind. If you normally read my post but skipped through this post, you are most likely running life too fast at the moment ;)
