18.01.2022 Day 1 #leanne30daypjchallenge Discovered that I can't count when I am working at a elevated heart rate. Did 55 starting the mower (also know as rows) and 55 pushups against the fence (note to self: choose planks with no splinters and turn cap around, hitting brim on fence over and over again not good for the brain) - these numbers calculated at home after event I am actually been good as I usually tell anyone that asks I did 25 million trillion (yes Maria)... I am feeling pumped and a little scared putting this out there as this is one sure way of being accountable to my team. EDIT went on a 2.83km walk with my darling husband in the arvo If I was coaching you on making a chronic pain pivot I would advise to only tell those you know will support you about your plans. Often we can give up before we start if we don't have the right team around us. #balanceminder #timeouttaichi #chronicpain #taichi #mindfulmovement Follow my adventure in Balance Minder Pivot Well group

12.01.2022 What is a hash tag? Why are they useful? I look at them as a way of filing a communication in a number of folders without having into duplicate, sets out the theme of the post and makes it easy to find. Here are a few of my hash tags. Check out what you can find out about me and what I do by clicking on them. Each social media option provides a different experience. If you have time please give me a comment on what you found out. #leanne30daypjchallenge #balanceminder #timeouttaichi

10.01.2022 Why I want to be your Chronic Pain Pivot Coach? I would have been around 30 when I received a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia that finally explained many of the chronic pain symptoms I’d been experiencing throughout my life. As a teen, I had chronic neck pain and ongoing pain throughout my entire body after having my first child. It got to the point that I was unable to play with my children, housework became near impossible and doctors continued to tell me to go home and just deal... with the pain. It wasn’t until I fell down in the street one day, and a number of people walked past me and laughed, that I realised I needed to find some answers and take my health into my own hands. I made a plan to not let my pain hold me back and attended a networking event where I sat beside a lady who handed me a flyer on Tai Chi. I took it home and stuck it to the fridge where it stayed for 6 months. It wasn’t until my daughter began experiencing anxiety that I noticed the flyer and decided we should give it a go together. From the first class I noticed not only physical changes, but also changes in my mental wellbeing. From then, Tai Chi became a regular part of my routine and even my daughter mentioned how much calmer I was as a mother. These days, I’ve been practicing and teaching Tai Chi for 12 years and have grown a successful business as a Fitness Educator and Tai Chi instructor. I focus on supporting people with chronic pain and other ailments to relax their mind, calm their body and stop their pain from holding them back from living a fulfilling life. I’ve seen clients who have struggled to walk long distances, balance themselves, neurological issues, mental health concerns and moreturn their life around and have amazing results like travelling interstate, go bushwalking again, leave the house and do tasks with ease that previously caused anxiety. I was recently a finalist for the Australia Fitness 2020 Community Activation Awards for my contribution to sharing Tai Chi throughout Australia. When I’m not practicing Tai Chi, you’ll find me out fishing, 4wd driving, camping and out in the vegie garden living a life that I truly enjoy. I’m so passionate about supporting people to not accept their pain as the standard or as something holding them back from doing things they really care about. That’s why I’ve created my Time Out Tai Chi program and coaching services, to support my clients to be more than just their pain and to find joy in living and achieving their best life. 09.01.2022 Have you ever just wanted to stay in your PJs all day? Well I surely have, they are so comfy and add a good pair of fuzzy slippers and WooHoo I am in bliss. I have been thinking about my chronic pain pivot, it has be a long road and I am so excited to be able to share with people tools and time to help them get in charge of their story. ... So where is my story at and how am I going to keep moving forward. I practice tai chi daily and grab out of the tool bag what I need for the day. I am real proud of myself. So as I ask you all to make a change and to challenge yourself, I am going to ask the same of myself. And this is where I need your help. It takes a team around you to build success. My challenge is to enter the PJ walk for ovarian cancer on 16 October. It is a 5km walk/run. I have no ambition to ever run and my doctor has advised against it, BUT walk I can. So each day I am going to share with you my training, please smile, laugh and wipe up the tears with me.
