24.01.2022 Focusing on becoming more relaxed while getting wheels into the air - I'd forgotten how much fun the Flow Skills B-Line course is

23.01.2022 A few photos from 1:1 coaching sessions

19.01.2022 Checking out Kooralbyn with Kerry who after a nice introduction to the mountain bike park on some well maintained green trails, found herself negotiating her first proper black trail. Lots of fun and plenty more to explore. The Kooralbyn resort has plenty of room for the bikes as well, although you might want to bring your own cutlery and crockery!

18.01.2022 Working with Grant and Nicki on refreshing their jumping skills. Sometimes the problem that you think you have isn't actually the problem you need to fix!

17.01.2022 A few photos from a rare 1:1 session and a make up session for the Core Skills B-Line participants who were either sick or injured last week. Even with the hot conditions everyone picked up the skills from today's lesson pretty quickly.

16.01.2022 Onto the beginnings of more technical skills for the second session of the Women's Only Core Skills B-Line session. I think everyone had fun...

14.01.2022 G'day everyone! I've been a bit quiet over the last few weeks but I'm still around. The blog post below might help to shed some light on where I've been :)

13.01.2022 Great group of ladies for the first session of the Women's Only Core Skills B-Line Course. Special mention to Kim who jumped on a bike for pretty much the first time in 5 years (never on dirt!) and headed out onto the trails to try mountain biking.

13.01.2022 R U OK? Please reach to someone if you aren't. https://www.balancemtb.com.au/post/r-u-ok

13.01.2022 A close encounter with a tree (actually, it was more like a tree hugging event) got me thinking about the importance of continually maintaining my tyres - which ended up being enough to motivate me to do a little blog post about the importance of tyre maintainance. https://www.balancemtb.com.au/po/keeping-the-rubber-rolling

12.01.2022 The final day of 2020 - hard to believe yet another year has gone by. Just had a little time to jot down some thoughts on my time on the trails for this year. Have a great New Year's Eve and see you all next year!

11.01.2022 The first Flow Skills B-Line course I've run in six months and I forget the memory cards for the camera! At least the phone has enough charge to catch a few videos snippets

08.01.2022 Recently I've had a few courses where riders really have had limited experience on the trails (not even 6 months) and but have managed to get a good handle on some core skills and ride down trails that riders with a lot more experience still struggle with. The group of the latest Core Skills A-Line program who just finished off their last class was no exception. It's great to see new riders hitting the trails with a whole lot more confidence in their riding abilities.... even if they still have some at times very entertaining riding faces!

06.01.2022 First session of the last course for the year was another hot one! Everyone started picking up the new skills in the Intro to MTB Riding session pretty well - The fact that I broke my wrist the day before didn't seem to perturb anyone at all! Special thanks to Kerry who gave me a hand on her day off to demonstrate some of the skills so I didn't have to ride one handed

05.01.2022 After a little bit of revision drops and jumps were the main focus of today's Core Skills A-Line class. Everyone in this group is a really fast learning bunch so I had to throw in a little bit extra into the lesson. 01.01.2022 Photos from the final session of the current Core Skills B-Line program. It's always great to see some fears conquered as everyone realises their potential on a mountain bike.
