09.01.2022 A great overall lift to target the Posterior Chain! This is another one of my favourite exercises in the gym and often it can be performed incorrectly... Here are some cues to help perfect your Conventional Deadlift: Walk up to the bar with your shins about an inch away. Feet hip width apart with you knees externally rotated to put more tension on the glutes. With long arms, bend down and have your hands outside of your knees, lock your elbows with your underarms in line ...with the bar when gripping double over hand. Bring shins up against the bar. Pull your lats into your back pockets. Eyes up. Core tight, Breath and brace. Drive feet into the floor push the world away. Once the bar passes your knees drive hips through towards the bar to lock out. Lower yourself, sending your hips back and once the bar is at your knees again, sit into position. Take a deep breath, reset and repeat. - If your struggling in the Gym and feeling like your not getting the results your after, reach out!
