24.01.2022 Keeping a diary on your old dog's activities is a great way to decide if you need to change your current arthritis treatment regime. https://caninearthritis.co.uk//CAM-good-day-bad-day-v1.pdf

21.01.2022 My osteopath and chiropractor colleagues trained in animal treatments are coming under pressure from faulty legislation that has to change. This comes down to improving animal welfare - simple as that.

13.01.2022 Hi. I'm looking at starting a new clinic in Tamborine Village in about 6 months. With the new launch will come a new logo. I'd appreciate it if you could take the time and take a vote on a logo in the attached poll. If there is something you like but that is not quite right I am able to make modifications so any suggestions welcome.

08.01.2022 https://onlinepethealth-info.com//so-what-if-my-dog-is-a-/ Obesity is a problem in so many of our pets and many owners are killing their pets with "kindness". We are here to help to get your furry friend back to their ideal weight.

07.01.2022 Self'exercising, fully automatic, intrinsically motivated dog.
07.01.2022 Rehab is a marathon, not a sprint. Tissue takes time to heal.
05.01.2022 This is me treating Sparky. Sparky is an 11 year old labrador. I have been treating him since 2015. He has had lots of issues in that time but the two new additions, Boomer and Bear have certainly helped his quality of life of late. I have helped Sparky in a lot of ways.He has had lameness on and off with his right fore. His overall arthritis is developing as he ages. And he has recently started having seizures. I've used lots of things to help: acupuncture, medication, supp...lements, biomechanical medicine (chiro and osteopathic techniques), electroacupuncture and rehabilitation. Often these treatments work, sometimes you have to try something else. That's the nature of medicine and being a vet. We have to be able offer something else. It can be very humbling to realise these two brown puppies are providing Sparky a much more beneficial therapy than I can offer from my toolkit. See more
04.01.2022 We'd love to see a picture of your pet ! Here's Buster - definitely one of our gentlest giants.
04.01.2022 A great article on canine dementia.
03.01.2022 Balance Vet is still open and operating! The situation with COVID 19 that we have found ourselves in now means we all have to adapt. I feel it is our community responsibility to protect the vunerable. We can all do our bit to limit the spread of the virus. I will be continuing to consult but will making the following changes:... * I will now be offering telemedicine. For many pets I’ll be able to diagnose and treat via video call. Where medication is required I can provide several options. Drop off will be possible in some cases or pick up or express post to arrive the next day. When you make an appointment I’ll be able to discuss if a video consultation is possible. * Where telemedicine is not possible I will maintain social distancing with pet owners during the consultation. This will involve me handling the pet on my own. * Where possible I will consult outside. I would prefer to use a side gate and not enter the house if we are seeing a pet in the backyard. For cats this may not be possible and it would be appreciated if you can have your cat ready in a cat carrier when I arrive so we can maintain social distancing. * I will be using hospital grade disinfectant on myself and all things contacted by myself and the pet before and after every consultation. This disinfectant kills the virus in contact with surfaces. * For pets on longterm medication I can continue to provide this. * If you have already made an appointment I’ll personally contact you and discuss our options. * Give your furry friend more cuddles. It’s good for you and good for them. We are all in this together so look after yourselves and look after one another. Dr Steve Denley BVSc CVA Grad Dip ABM

03.01.2022 Campbell is a superstar. A combination of home made balanced cooked diet using Vetlicious and regular Animal Biomechanical treatments has him feeling like a new dog.
01.01.2022 Cavaletti rails are such an effective exercise - our feline friends maybe need a bit more motivation to go through the motions
