Remember to check any award, agreement, employment contract or workplace policy that applies they could be more generous.

07.01.2022 Recently, compassionate leave was expanded to include miscarriage. So if you or your current spouse or de facto partner has a miscarriage, you’re entitled to 2 ...days compassionate leave. You’re also entitled to 2 days of compassionate leave if a member of your immediate family or household suffers a life-threatening illness or injury or passes away: https://www.fairwork.gov.au//compassionate-and-bereavement Compassionate leave is available to all employees. It doesn’t accrue and you get 2 days on each occasion it applies (there is no maximum number of times you can access it in a year). It can be taken as a single period, 2 separate days, or in any periods that the employee and employer agree on. Full-time and part-time employees get 2 days paid compassionate leave. For casuals, it’s unpaid.

If you live in Greater Sydney, you can travel and take ...a holiday anywhere in the Greater Sydney area, including the Blue Mountains, Wollongong, Central Coast and Shellharbour. You can’t enter rural or regional NSW. Residents in regional NSW LGAs can travel within rural and regional NSW but can’t enter Greater Sydney. Unvaccinated people can only holiday within their LGA. The Monday after 80% double dose, fully vaccinated people and those with medical exemptions will be able to travel and holiday anywhere in NSW. Unvaccinated people can still only holiday within their LGA. You must carry proof of vaccination or a medical exemption (a COVID-19 vaccine medical contraindication form) with you.
