20.01.2022 What a great turnout yesterday ! I got to meet some beautiful people and their beautiful furkids , who are much more balanced today ! Dog owners learnt about their dogs digestion system , the meridian system , how to treat anxiety and move their dog’s stuck energy from their meridian channels . They also learnt how their dog’s system makes food energy which helps to create a balanced and a stronger immune system . Dog owners also found the benefits of healing bone broth ...and why detoxing their dog’s system is so important . Ill be holding events like this once a month ! At the Rec and community hall Evans Head Complete species appropriate raw dog food and meals as well as bone broth and healing treats will be available for delivery at Evans Head each Friday . Also I will be taking bookings for natural therapies such as red light , acupuncture and meridian massage every Friday. Although they differ somewhat from cats , fact being that feline is 100% Carnivores, dogs should be considered carnivores based on their dentition, as well as the length of their canine teeth. A dog’s teeth reflect the mechanics of the ripping and tearing of food, their mouth has a wide gape to be able to swallow foods whole. They also possess a shortened gastrointestinal tract which is only 2 times as long as th...em, versus the longer GI tract of an omnivore or herbivore which is more than 7 times longer than them. This means that dogs digestion system is much faster than ours. Their jaws are not designed to chew foods, their jaws have a scissor motion for slicing, meaning it doesnt move sideways like ours, so dogs in fact do not have the ability to chew , but their jaws are designed to crush . In addition, dogs don’t have amylase, an enzyme that breaks down carbohydrates/sugars, in their saliva, like an omnivore and herbivore have. The relative inability to convert plant based sources of Omega-3 fatty acids into EPA and DHA is also a strong indication of carnivore status. Based on their digestive tract adaptations, dogs are scavenger carnivores, while cats are true carnivores. A scavenger is an animal who will sort through discarded material or eat dead carcasses to take advantage of what it finds. Although dogs would prefer meat, they can survive on what they can find. Despite this, omnivorous humans have been feeding dogs omnivorous diets for years, filled with plant based protein sources such as corn and rice. Can a dog survive on this diet? The answer is yes. But the real question is can they thrive throughout their entire life on an ominivorous diet? Today's dogs are said to be dying younger by 11% and most of the reasons are to do with diet. 40% of dogs are obese 46% of dogs and 39% of cats now die of cancer Heart, kidney and liver disease are epidemic Just like us, food is either healing or harming, so what we give our dogs should be what makes them better, not weaken their immune system. 04.01.2022 The healing Benefits of an Epson salt bath for your dogs ! We all should be releasing toxins with epson salts , but its even great for your dogs ! A regular epson salt foot bath is not only a great pain reliever and soother for tired feet , but as your dogs feet are subject to so many environmental toxins , its a great way to detox and heal . ... Its really easy ! ! Drawing up an epsom salt bath for your dog is quick and easy and only requires 2 ingredients...... epsom salt and warm water!!!! To use epsom salt for dogs feet, simply add warm water to either your bathtub or a container large ( non plastic) enough to soak one or more feet, depending on how much detoxing treatment your dog needs. As the warm water is running, add epsom salts following a ratio guide of around one tablespoon for every four cups of water. Allowing the salts to dissolve, then gently rest your dog's paw in the bathwater and allow them to soak for about 10 to 15 minutes, if your dog will allow for that long of a session. I find it really lovely to add a calendula and lavender rinse after and then rub a tiny amount of coconut oil i to their paws x
