21.01.2022 Powerful words by Australian Football legend @patrickdangerfield passionately spearheading the #WeGotYou campaign to end racism in sport. "' ' ." #WeGotYou is a player-led initiative to put an end to racism within sports. These are strong words, which I know will be followed up with even stronger actions.... #WeGotYou See more

20.01.2022 When allies who stand up and speak out against racism, although a small gesture, this is one of many actions that have a tremendous impact on the person being targeted because they feel the support. It can also make whoever racially vilifies that person reconsider their own behavior. I believe if everyone can make small changes in this space, that could have a massive impact. So, I would like to say thank you - to all athletes of the majority who are paving the way with... your leadership and standing in the frontlines to put an end to racism within sport. This commitment of your support is very much appreciated. #WeGotYou See more

13.01.2022 As some of you may have heard, in spite of my concerns for health and safety, I have come to Orlando for the restart of the NBA season... ' - $,,. - .. In doing this, I want to make an immediate impact on marginalized communities who face racism daily. ' ' ... . My #1 goal as I return to NBA basketball is to amplify the real issues in our society, that affect our everyday life as minorities - and influence change on systemic racism and social justice. It’s exhausting. But as a black man in some position of stature, now is not the time to cry exhaustion. It’s our responsibility to seize this watershed moment and gain as much ground as we can. 08.01.2022 MLK - MANDELA - MABO: The Iconic M’s The quiet, peaceful, calm, positive approach to develop change and hearts that expressed compassion and love for one another are ways that The Iconic M’s created history. MLK, Mandela and Mabo - The world's most powerful leaders for social justice, civil rights and land rights all because of a common goal - to be treated equally.... Today we celebrate one of the most significant events of Australian History - The June 3, 1992 High Court of Australia’s landmark decision overturning the legal doctrine of terra nullius (land belonging to no-one) on which the British claimed possession, to recognise the legal doctrine of Native Title into Australian law - more commonly known today as Mabo Day. Eddie ‘Koiki’ Mabo, the man who led the Mabo case, created history and achieved greatness both during and after his life. He fought for recognition, for the rights of Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal peoples to traditional ownership of their land and waters. Just like MLK and Mandela, Mabo was a man with great vision, courage and determination, who never wavered from the grueling challenge of a system where he was against all odds. Success of the Mabo case changed some of the basic foundations of Australia's legal system and also brought attention to the plight of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. So today, according to the Australian law, we are officially acknowledged and recognized, as who we really are - Indigenous peoples of the land. The beginning of a journey towards the greater common goal of The Iconic M’s - to be treated equally. #MaboDay

07.01.2022 Young bala days From catching fish, island dancing, picking bananas with my Grandmother on Thursday Island, patrolling the beaches of Mer, camping on the far west coast of South Australia and running a cross country race barefoot at Fowlers Bay, my culture has been in me since day dot. The practice runs in my family. It’s our culture. It’s what we do.... National Reconciliation Week is about ALL Australians coming together to celebrate the similarities and learn from the differences because Indigenous culture and business is everyone's culture and business. We all have the responsibility. The more Australians that are willing to learn and share the knowledge and traditions of our country, the closer we all will be to Reconciliation. Our country is uniquely special. Let’s make the most of it together - while we still can. #NRW2020 #InThisTogether See more

05.01.2022 I proudly stand alongside these 10 powerhouse athletes and coach and commit to ending racism across all sports in Australia. Yesterday, I moderated a press conference with these 10 leaders in sport who came together for the #WeGotYou Campaign. We discussed what steps will need to be taken to end racism in sport, how we can approach our team members, CEOs, board members and other leaders so they too can help eradicate racism - and more.... It was an emotional conversation, to say the least. But what rose above our emotions was our unified commitment to listen, learn and make actionable changes today that will affect the safety, well-being and success of our fellow minority athletes tomorrow. The good news: These changes are not limited to just sport. Making changes in your everyday life is not complicated or expensive. They are changes we can all make, in our lives, in our living rooms, with our families and friends and with our colleagues at work. We hope you'll join us in our fight to end racism because all we want is a safe place to do what we love: sports. #WeGotYou
