24.01.2022 Last Saturday Elmo and I headed out to Lancefield for Bolinda Riding Club’s dressage jackpot, and I’m very happy with our results to say the least! I felt I didn’t ride a very nice 2.3 test, there was a bit of a lack of connection and accuracy, placing us 3rd on 63%. However, we redeemed ourselves in the 2.5 riding a lovely tests for 2nd with 68%! We also gave our first Level 1 test a go, and to my delight we placed 4th with 63% and some very lovely comments from the judge. ... To top off the day, Elmo and I pointed up into Level 1! This has been a big goal of mine since mid last year and I’m so proud to have at last gotten there. Elmo is feeling super in our training and we couldn’t be more ready to tackle the new level and continue getting better. To think that only a few years ago we started as an inexperienced level 4 combination, it’s crazy! Thank you to those that continuously support me and my passion, I appreciate it so much.

18.01.2022 After another chunk of time away concentrating on school, I’m back! Elmo has been going great after my clinic with Judy Dierks! We are starting to get back to where we left our training last year and he’s feeling great. There’s already a few competitions on the calendar so stay tuned

16.01.2022 Throughout the past couple of weeks Elmo has been brought back into full work and he is feeling great! On Saturday we went to Nicole’s in the morning for a lesson, we are slowly ironing out a couple of issues and improving bit by bit. I’m super excited for this year and to get a competition or two lined up to start the season off. I’m also SUPER excited to share with you all that this weekend I’ll be heading to CJ Park Warmbloods for a clinic with Judy Dierks, I can’t wait! It’s sure to be another amazing experience that I’ll learn so much from

08.01.2022 Elmo has been going great recently, especially after our lesson with Heidi Vowels last week. His forward button is (finally) beginning to show itself, making his lateral work SO much easier, and his walk/canter/walk transitions a breeze. Recently I made the decision to bring my lovely Jack back into work. He is coming along really well with his lunging sessions, I’m taking it super easy on him especially in these beginning few weeks. He had his saddle on for the first time in years yesterday and he handled it like a pro, I’m so excited to see how the little guy comes back and progresses now that I’ve got a little more knowledge under my belt! Below is a little clip of some canter work from my last lesson
