17.01.2022 We send Best Wishes to all for the Festive Season.

16.01.2022 #weloveportdouglas #opendomesticborders #haveyoursay It`s time to restart.... We hope Annastacia Palaszczuk MP will allow domestic borders to be opened #byjuly15 The Australian health system, has survived the impact of COVID 19 better than most country in the world, certainly must be more ready than ever to front a possible second wave outbreak. The people of Australia have shown compliance and are well aware of the necessary safety precautions. Businesses are prepared and have enough time to get ready to trade in the safest possible manner. The economic support given by the Australian government has kept most individuals and businesses afloat considering the magnitude of this crisis has been impressive, but it`s unsustainable and for some, not enough or not available. The repercussion of not opening the borders past July 15th will have a far worst effect, on our local economy, on businesses, families and workers. Ultimately, delaying tourism will impact the health and well-being of the majority of Douglas Shire residents and families that rely directly or indirectly on this industry. That said, the same apply for all our neighbours and friends in regional Queensland. Obviously, this is only our opinion, feel free think that is crap , share it, copy chop or change, but please be respectful and stay positive ! #opendomesticborders is on everyone`s lips, #haveyoursay and be positive about it ! To have your say, please join our group post a pic with a message or a short video. We all have different needs, situation and beliefs, please be respectful and to the point. All offensive posts will be moderated, but everyone`s opinion is welcomed. 06.01.2022 Magic Port Douglas

06.01.2022 Why are we still letting people into Australia? I though our borders were closed. Everyone was told to come home in March. Totally unfair to those who have pla...yed by the rules. Tourism in Far North Queensland will take years to recover. Victorians are coming here through the outback borders so lets just test those from Victoria and let our main stay guests come and keep Port Douglas alive. See more
