18.01.2022 Thanks to the team at Wombat Hill Landscaping for our new back garden! Just loving the end result! We should have done it years ago! This is what the last two days have looked like here! ;)

17.01.2022 Well, our 21 years of running Ambleside B&B has finally come to an end today. Our final guests have departed and now the packing up really starts to steam ahead. Our visitors left this lovely feedback in our book today before they left: "Thank you Linda & Frank for 21 years of wondeful breakfasts, good conversations and a beautiful relaxing room. We have always loved our time spent here and will treasure the memories. All the best for a long retirement.. Laura &... Tino". It was almost fitting to close our B&B with guest who stayed with us in June 1996 and kept coming back for more! Frank and I wish the new owners, Russell & Michael, all the very best in the next chapter of this lovely old home. May they enjoy many good times, sublime views and lovely guests like we did. I cant believe how quickly 21 years can go! And now its on to the next chapter in our lives.......

04.01.2022 Well, this week sees our 21st anniversary here at Ambleside. Frank and I bought this lovely little B&B in March 1996. We opened on the long weekend. Here we are 21 years on and it seems fitting that we announce that we will be closing our business after the long weekend which is occurring this weekend! Our business has kept us busy for 21 years and we have met some wonderful people along the way. We thank everyone for their support and we now look forward to perhaps enjoying some lazy Sunday mornings ourselves and perhaps enjoying a little more travel and catch-ups with family and friends. This will be our last official post on this FB page. So, for now....its "Over and Out! :)

01.01.2022 The new owners of Ambleside have moved in and are making some big changes to the B&B! It will be closed for a few months whilst Russell & Michael put their touch on the old Dame and sparkle the place up a bit. Ambleside will start a new life soon with Russell and Michael at the helm and we know they will do a wonderful job and make some fabulous changes. It will continue its long tradition as a guesthouse. We cant wait to see it when it re-opens. Built in 1912, it will be wonderful to see this old home/guesthouse start its next chapter. Watch this space for further updates and information.
