17.01.2022 Now is a great time to visit Tura Beach & Merimbula - many of the tourists have left so the beaches aren't so crowded, the sea is still warming up, you can get tables in all the fabulous restaurants and there are rooms available. See you in the Sapphire Coast.

17.01.2022 GREAT NEWS! The Princes Highway has been re-opened between Melbourne (via East Gippsland) and the Sapphire Coast - and Merimbula awaits you!

08.01.2022 WE'RE BACK IN BUSINESS! Like so many other businesses on the Sapphire Coast, Balconies has been suffering cancellation after cancellation, right into March. Many of the cancellations are from overseas visitors, not just Aussies. About 50% of my guests are from Europe and of course news of our fires have hit the headlines globally. I've had so many emails from friends all around the world, to see how we are, which is most heartwarming.... Thankfully we're safe, as is the beautiful property! The clean up has been horrendous and took about a week, getting ash off outdoor walls, floors, pictures, furniture and especially the pool which alone took 5 days. It's now looking pristine. Long may it last! We hope the worst is over, but with 2 more months of summer and extreme heat, it's hard to know. It's been wonderful to have some rain so the lawns and gardens can come alive again. 2020 can only get better. If anyone has been suffering physically or emotionally, I'd like to offer a couple of days' break staying at our Boutique B&B at a discounted rate. You might like to take advantage of a special rate for a Massage with Meg as well.
