25.01.2022 Just wondering if anyone is reading this page as we are thinking of updating it.
22.01.2022 Check out our Blog Page on http://carseldine9.nhwq.org/ for the latest crime stats for our area.
20.01.2022 The storm season is approaching and it is now time to start thinking about preparing our properties for the summer. The following links contain valuable information on storm and flood safety. Could you please disseminate this information to your members or perhaps mention this in your next newsletter or facebook post. Also please find attached the Red Cross redi plan and the SES Get Ready Guide. http://www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/community-support//index.htm http://www.redcross.org.au/emergency-services.aspx

18.01.2022 Tell us what information you would like to see on this page and we will attempt to provide it.
17.01.2022 Dear Neighbours, We need your advice on how we might progress Neighbourhood Watch in Bald Hills. Firstly we would like to thank you for liking our Bald Hills NHW facebook page. We hope that the information we have been sending you has been of use.... Your Neighbourhood Watch Area has a good core of long-term supporters, including a team of Block and Zone Coordinators who distribute our Newsletters to letterboxes in our Area, many of whom also support us by attending our meetings. However, like many other NHW Areas, we need to extend and freshen our numbers of active supporters to permit succession planning into the future. In particular I have made it clear that, for personal reasons, I will not be able to continue as Area Coordinator after our AGM in August. We have attempted to spark fresh interest by holding special meetings such as our last meeting, on 17th March, at which we invited speakers from Police Intelligence, Crime Prevention and Crimestoppers. The value of Neighbourhood Watch to crime prevention in our community is well documented. We also raised the possibility that our NHW Area might close if we do not get new people. Unfortunately, while the meeting was well attended by our regulars, it did not generate new participants. We would appreciate any advice you can give us on how we might be able to obtain deeper support from within our community. 1. Do you want our Neighbourhood Watch to continue? Or are we "whipping a dead horse"? 2. Given that we do want to continue, how can we do things better to get more people interested? 3. Would you prefer we made greater use of social media to help communication? 4. Do you have any other suggestions of what me might be able to do? We would appreciate any comments you can provide. Brian Rice

06.01.2022 Stay Smart Online bulletin We recommend that you subscribe to this service. Our computers, it seems, are as vulnerable to letting in criminals as are our doors and windows if we do not take appropriate precautions. http://www.ssoalertservice.net.au/content//December2011.pdf
