25.01.2022 Wisdom teeth often don't have room to grow properly and can cause problems. Erupting wisdom teeth can grow at various angles in the jaw, sometimes even horizontally. Some dentists recommend removing wisdom teeth if they don't fully emerge. Many dentists believe it's better to remove wisdom teeth at a younger age, before the roots and bone are fully formed, and when recovery is generally faster after surgery. Wisdom teeth removal may be necessary if you experience changes in the area of those teeth, such as pain and repeated infection.

Wires can protrude with teeth movement, brackets may become loose, and abrasion can occur in the soft tissue of your mouth. If you cannot contact us, there are some short-term fixes. If the bracket is loose but attached, orthodontic wax may secure it until your appointment. ... If the wire is exposed, sugarless gum can protect the area for a short while. The wire can be snipped with sterilised nail clippers or cuticle scissors, but only as a last resort. Orthodontic wax can act like a band-aid.

Braces are simply stuck on using tweezers and glue. 2 hours after your appointment however, you will start to feel some pressure as the wire begins to work. Discomfort usually peaks at 24 hours, after which the pain tends to subside, being completely gone usually by 48-72 hours.
