23.01.2022 Thanks so much to the Australian Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation (ALCCRF) for drawing our club's name out to win one of these fabulous BBQs! We donate every year to this wonderful cause, as do so many other clubs across Australia. The only BBQ the club has at present is very old and barely does the job, so we know this new one will get plenty of use. Thanks also to Bunnings Warehouse Australia Baldivis for the extra gift pack of goodies to use with the BBQ. What a great bunch of people!

22.01.2022 Well what a fabulous turnout we had for the @LionsCancerInstitute skin cancer screening day. Pictured are some of the Baldivis Lions plus our fabulous ‘adopted’ Lions (from the Australian Motorhoming Lions Club ) who helped with the admin for the day. Massive thanks to the team of screeners who worked flat out all day - all of them specially trained volunteers who give freely of their time. Here are the stats for the day: 62 adults screened (22 male, 40 female) 5 people refe...rred for further investigation 4 suspected life threatening lesions found 11 lesions detected 31 (exactly half) had never been screened previously *Please note that all lesions are suspect only, until proven by further investigations. This wonderful program needs donations to continue to provide this free service to the community, and the bus will need to be replaced very soon. Our club is a proud supporter of the @lionscancerinstitute and we know that all donations are very gratefully received.

18.01.2022 At our recent State Convention my 100 board for LCIF was completed and Distruct Governor Dot made the draw using a random number generator online. The winner was #56 and PDG Colin Beauchamp went home $1000 richer. Congratulations Colin

15.01.2022 Our golf day "TEE OFF FOR TEDDY" was held last Sunday and was a great success, Teddy himself came and really enjoyed the awards and post game dinner. Huge thanks to @brighterwithgas our main sponsors and the team at @secretharbourgolf Winners were ARC ASSESSING- Leon Edmunds, Tim Butler, Darren King and John Pierce. Congratulations guys... Second place went to BAYZACON- Rob Murrell, Paul Murray, Nathan Pale and Ryan McCarty Third place was J & R CONCRETE- Gary Sprigg, Mike Kowald, Ron Suator and Ian Burton BIZLINK- Steve Turner, Paul Turner, Martin McCready and Sam Griffiths. Took home the wooden spoon and we hope they'll be back next year to climb higher up the leader board. All moneys raised from events such as our markets, sausage sizzles and the sale of Christmas cakes and mints are returned to the community by way of donations such as this. 03.01.2022 DRIVERS AND ADMINISTRATION STAFF REQUIRED. Volunteer drivers are wanted to help the Lions Cancer Institute carry out its skin screening program in WA. We are al...so requiring some Administrators to work outside the vehicle, guiding clients booked in to be screened to complete a small amount of form filling before being screened. Applicants with basic computer skills are preferred, as the events require some data entry into a spreadsheet. If you can spare a few days at a time, mostly Friday to Monday, and driver applicants have at least a HR licence, please contact Phil by email [email protected] for more details. All expenses on trips are met by the Institute.

New and unique craft stalls to treat yourself, we all deserve a treat this year. The bouncy castles will be there to help the wee ones run off some energy and give you a peaceful night later. Finally don't forget we are dog friendly so remember to bring your four legged friends to visit the Australian Dog Biscuit Company for a treat.
