23.01.2022 Hi all! We are having problems with our SMS reminder system. If you have received a text asking you to confirm an appointment for a home visit for Terri for tomorrow, can you please call us on 9523 2000 to either confirm or move this visit? ... Thanks!

22.01.2022 Hey everyone! Just a heads up to our patients who are having phone consultations- Your doctor or midwife might be calling you on a private number. If it's around your appointment time and you get a private number call, please answer as it's probably your doc or midwife calling you for your phone consult. Thanks! ... - The Baldivis Maternity Clinic Team

If you have an appt for an initial appt, a booking or a CTG MONITOR please allow 24hrs for cancellation so people waiting for appts can get in. If you just don’t attend our midwives are left doing nothing - and people needing appts unable to get to see them. Please be vigilant with your confirmations

20.01.2022 October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Make sure you check yourselves, although the risk is higher in women, men can also get breast cancer so everyone shou...ld do their regular check. Book in for a mammogram if you are a female over 40. Mammograms take about 15 minutes and although they may not be pleasant at the time, they may just save your life. See more

20.01.2022 Hi everyone, Due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, we have made the difficult decision to make a few changes to postnatal care with our midwives. For the foreseeable future, our midwives will no longer be offering home visits to patients. I know our home visits are a valuable post natal service to our ladies and we apologise for the inconvenience caused by this decision. ... We have decided that on Fridays, where Terri would usually come and see patients in their homes, she will run a postnatal clinic at Baldivis Maternity Clinic. She can still give advice, check on you and your baby, weigh bub and do all the things she does in a home visit- it will just be at the clinic rather than in your home. Please contact The Ridge on 9523 2000 if you have any questions.

20.01.2022 due to Covid 19 the tour of the maternity ward are cancelled but this is the virtual tour- enjoy

19.01.2022 We are down at the Makybe Primary School Wellness Fair- Terri, one of our midwives, will be here to answer your questions and we have stacks of info on what services we provide. Come on down and say Hi!

18.01.2022 To help maintain social distancing and to enable people to stay home where possible, the Australian Government has introduced phone consults for patients. These consults are available to our current patients and are fully bulk billed. We understand that during pregnancy, you still need to be physically seen by your doctor or midwife- and that hasn't changed. We are still seeing patients in the clinic however some appointments- especially ones just for results, or your very ...first midwife appointment- can be done over the phone. Dr Essa Rasool is only 'seeing' patients via phone consult going forward- we are contacting his patients who are currently booked in to inform them of this or to move them to a midwife/Dr Nooshin Rasool if required. We want to thank all our patients for their cooperation and patience during this trying time for everyone. For more information, or to book/change an appointment to a phone consult, give us a call on 9523 2000. - The Baldivis Maternity Clinic Team

17.01.2022 Dr Rasool is still performing vasectomies- with a couple of tweaks to the process. Please check out the following post for information.

16.01.2022 We want to continue giving yourselves and your babies the best possible care Your urinalysis is a really important part of this care. Which you will need whilst doing Telehealth appointment with us. So at your booking appt with Terri or Zoe please collect a urinalysis kit from Krissi our receptionist What you are looking for is the colour pads according to the following pics. Please do the test before any Telehealth appts and keep your urine till after we have spoken- Thankyou

16.01.2022 Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we have implemented a few changes to our waiting room procedures. As of today, we ask that when you arrive for your appointment, you call us from your car on 9523 2000 to let us know you are waiting. Our waiting rooms(both the regular clinic and the Maternity Clinic) are locked and only accessible via a staff member letting you in. One of our reception staff will call you when it is time for you to come in to the practice and we will l...et you in. These measures, along with implementing telephone consults wherever possible, will ensure that we are doing our bit to help flatten the curve of COVID-19 infection rates. Thank you everyone for your cooperation and patience.

16.01.2022 We will be taking some stricter measures over the next week to enforce the social distancing laws It does not mean you will not be receiving ongoing support and care in your pregnancy Please be patient with us

15.01.2022 Happy nurses day to our awesome nurses you do an amazing job Thankyou

15.01.2022 Have seen alot of vaginal thrush in women of late. During Pregnancy thrush can develop with out the normal itchiness you would feel outside of preg. It can make you very sore, swollen, red and can also cause anxiety inducing abnormal looking discharge. it can often be diagnosed by you just looking at your vaginal area, or if you are concerned and you see a GP/Midwife we can send a vaginal swab away to check. Treatment is simple but it can be difficult to get rid of in pregnancy. please have a read through the following information from The 'Royal' hospital for women, esp if you feel you may have an active case of thrush.

15.01.2022 I often get ask - how will I know if my baby is hot or cold. Because of their inability to regulate their body temp well, if you are hot they will prob feel a bit hotter, if you are cold they will prob feel colder These two bubs loved getting their clothes off and laying on the Scale under the aircon in todays extreme heat. Thanks to their mums for consenting for me to post their pics

14.01.2022 IMPORTANT CHANGES Please read RGH Maternity Unit's changes to keep your family safe. Thank you for your understanding.

06.01.2022 Thank you from all of us here at Baldivis Maternity Clinic

06.01.2022 PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH US OVER THE COMMING WEEKS WHILE WE WORK HARD TO KEEP YOU AND YOUR BABIES SAFE. we are trying to restrict the flow of people through our clinic at anyone given time- Largely Due to the growing cases of Covid 19 on the east coast. While it is easy to be complacent and say- we are lucky here in WA, we dont have a problem, one mistake from people caring for the positive cases we currently have in perth hotels, stupidity by people like the woman in bunbury, and we will HAVE a problem. So we are reinforcing social distancing at the clinic, please be mindful to keep the 2m square rule/ 1.5 m distance when you come, at times when you are busy you will be asked to wait outside or in your car.

05.01.2022 So different now

05.01.2022 this is how a c-section is done

05.01.2022 Some really great info for the preg ladies https://wirf.com.au/covid-19-statement

04.01.2022 There are massive traffic delays on Ridge Boulevard and Nairn Drive today due to the cheap fuel day at Puma. We have sent all patients a sms message at 8am to ...alert them, there is an alternate route into the centre, Wattlebird Way has an entrance to our carpark and can be accessed from Mallard Way (turn off Arpentuer) please call the centre if you need help with directions and we will do our best. We apologise for the inconvenience, it is only for today :-) See more

02.01.2022 ****POWER OUTAGE**** Hi everyone! We are currently experiencing a power outage. As a result, we have no access to anything on our computers.... Unfortunately, this includes results. If you are coming in today for results please bear this in mind. If you would like to reschedule to a later date, please send this page a message(our phones are down). 02.01.2022 In line with the WA Health Department's new health guidelines for COVID-19 we are making the following changes to protect our patients and staff. - If possible, please attend appointments alone. We understand this may not be possible with small children. - We are trying to limit patient numbers in our waiting room. If the clinic is busy, you may be asked to wait in your car. ... - We are about to implement telephone consults for some antenatal and postnatal visits. More information regarding this type of visit will be posted in the next few days as we get it. We want to thank all our patients for their cooperation during these times. regards, The Baldivis Maternity Clinic Team
