21.01.2022 With so many Australians working from home to reduce the risk of coronavirus, we’re making it easier to claim your expenses this tax time. From 1 March until 30... June 2020, we’re allowing you to claim 80c per hour for each hour you spend working from home. This will cover all your expenses, including your: Heating and cooling Electricity Mobile phone Internet Depreciation of office equipment You can still use other methods to calculate your claim if you prefer; however, whichever method you choose, you’ll need to make sure you have records to support your claim. Find out more about the change at www.ato.gov.au//Support-for-i/Employees-working-from-home/

01.01.2022 Along with the rest of the world ... we are limiting our face to face contact as much as possible. What does this mean for tax appointments this year? It means the standard fee for our tax return service is changing. For returns that are dropped to our office, or provided electronically, the fee is $125. For those requiring a face to face appointment, the fee is $140.... To make it easier for you to provide your documents electronically, we now have an upload area on our website! Check it out here: https://www.baldryandcarr.com.au/upload

01.01.2022 Don’t forget! You won’t receive a Payment Summary this year from your employer. Your Payment Summary info will automatically prefill in your return, as soon as your employer tags it as tax ready with the ATO. SO - if you’ve already got your other documents ready, upload them or drop them in to us. The ATO will start processing returns from next week so we can get yours started! To upload your deduction receipts and let us know to get your return started, fill in this easy form on our site www.baldryandcarr.com.au/upload
