21.01.2022 This pianola is a self-playing piano, containing a pneumatic or electro-mechanical mechanism that operates the piano action via programmed music recorded on perforated paper, or in rare instances, metallic rolls, with modern implementations using MIDI (digital interface). Our beautiful resident Viv owned the Gulbransen Pianola circa 1928 which was built in Chicago USA and brought it with her to Maroubra Gardens some 24 years ago. Viv has bequeathed the Pianola to the villag...e and it is now on level 2 in the lounge area for everyone to enjoy the music together. To date, Viv has collected over 80 perforated paper strolls. If anyone is interested, please come and enjoy MUSIC WITH VIV every Saturday at 2pm.

13.01.2022 Resident Testimonial - Patrick I really enjoy being a resident at Maroubra Gardens Retirement Village and have done so for the past 23 years. The complex is ideal with shopping at your door, medical and dental surgeries very close by. With buses at the door transport is never a problem, and the beautiful surrounds of the gardens makes the atmosphere extremely restful and with enough facilities to keep everyone occupied. The management of the village are quick to attend to any request and maintenance of items are of a high standard. With all this in mind I strongly recommend Maroubra Gardens as wonderful independent retirement village.
