25.01.2022 We have hard working, caring and reliable staff here at Vaucluse Gardens, and we have all been tested over the last few months. Through it all our staff have co...ntinued to work their regular shifts, worked harder and longer than usual and done so with the same level of care each and every day. This hard work was acknowledged by Baldwin Living's CEO Paul Burkett and our Syndey team by recently presenting our staff with a surprise gift in thanks. It says a lot about the people & company we work for when you receive thanks for doing your job! See more

25.01.2022 CANT ATTEND THE VILLAGE IN PERSON? Given the restrictions we are currently in and life still moving forward even though we can't physically be there, this is a great option. With modern multimedia available to us we can now offer you a virtual tour of our facility straight to your lounge room. Watch the virtual tour online, then be live on the phone with a representative of the village which allows you to ask questions, request specific photos or videos of the units and also live measurements to ensure your furniture fits as you want. With live video or facetime you can direct the show! You are in control of the direction for videoing, determine the rooms we go into and the overall picture you get. Call us today so we can organise a virtual tour for you at any of our villages - 1800 911 989.

11.01.2022 Retirement Living through COVID The world has been a strange place for the last few months, since COVID19 hit, and whilst there have been changes and big adju...stments, the spirit of community is as alive and well as ever at Seabeach Gardens. In a time where if felt like there were hourly updates on what to do/not to do, and varying reports on what was happening around the nation our residents were notified of all news that applied to them, without the information being sensationalised, and without the worry of misinformation; residents were assured of their safety by staff verbally, as well as by directives that were put in place such as increased cleaning of common areas, increased hygiene measures such as hand sanitiser pumps installed around the village and all visitors having to sign in upon entering the village. In a time where people were nervous going to the shops, our residents had the option of staff shopping for them or assisting with ordering food online; even though our dining room was closed, our kitchen has continued to operate the whole way through, with meals being delivered to rooms, to ensure that our residents always had nutritious, homemade meals a source of comfort among the madness. In a time where families felt they had to distance themselves for the well-being of our residents, no resident was left alone. We adopted a check list system, where staff would log who they had seen/spoken to, to ensure that all residents were healthy and accounted for a system which many of our residents themselves have greatly appreciated, as well as their families. In a time where it felt like so much of the world had shut down, our village still operated (in so many ways) as usual; whether it was catering staff in our kitchen, care staff assisting residents around the village, office staff manning the reception area, maintenance requests being fulfilled or our landscapers keeping the grounds as beautiful as ever, all of this added a sense of normalcy to a global situation that was anything but. This experience has confirmed to us that retirement living is, at its very core, a community, and our community has only been strengthened.

08.01.2022 Our activities are slowly coming back to the village, but in the meantime our residents have found a solution for Tai Chi. There's a lovely park just down the ...road from the village and due to some restrictions this works perfectly. John, who takes the class regularly is happy to have the class wherever the residents are happy and at the moment the weather is just beautiful. See more

07.01.2022 A big welcome to our new residents at Baldwin Living Sequana, Betty and Anthony. Betty and Anthony have made the move from NSW to QLD-great decision we think. They did have to spend some time self isolating in their new home which gave them plenty of time to unpack. Now that time has passed they can start enjoying the many activities we offer around the village.

04.01.2022 Dementia affects close to half a million Australians. That number is set double in the next 25 years. If we are to prepare for this increase, it is vital we clear up some of the prevailing misconceptions about dementia. The concept for Dementia Action Week 2020, 'A little support makes a lot of difference', has been developed in consultation with Dementia Advocates, who have a lived experience of dementia. The stories and voices that will feature across Dementia Action Week are real. Register today to find out more and show your support: dementia.org.au/dementia-action-week.
