17.01.2022 Hey there Sunny Coasters . I had the pleasure of catching up with Zasco van Rooyen and Steve Brown who are the Partners of Baldwins Lawyers - Mary Valley Law ...Pty Ltd. Now both businesses have been around for some time and are well known across the Gympie and Noosa / Cooroy regions, and it seemed destiny for Zasco and Steve to take over the practices. Zasco and Steve have both migrated to Australia, but they did not meet until after they both relocated to the Sunshine Coast. Zasco, originally from South Africa where he practised for 10 years specializes in Commercial, Property, Wills and Estates. Initially Zasco was raising his family in Newcastle, NSW for approximately 4 years when he decided to relocate to the beautiful and warm Sunshine Coast. The opportunity to purchase Baldwins Lawyers came up, and Zasco started his journey with very much a clean slate with this business with just himself and a part time receptionist. Steve, originally from the USA where he practised Family Law, met and married his wife in the USA, who was originally from Mooloolaba. They moved back to our beautiful Sunshine Coast to raise their family. February 2019, Zasco and Steve officially formed a Partnership in Baldwins Lawyers and their specialties really complimented each other, providing their Clients with a broad level of services. 1st of April 2019, they purchased Mary Valley Law Pty Ltd, which was primarily a Family Law firm and here we are today. There are a couple of the things that really stood out during our chat that I would like to share with you. Have you ever met a Lawyer that is happy to have a chat for free? Well, you are reading about a practise right now that does, but obviously to a certain point and dependent upon situations the client is facing. Zasco & Steve strive to provide a service that goes beyond the initial need of the client sitting in front of them. For example, if a client has a Conveyancing need, in most other situations this would be satisfied, and job done. Baldwins Lawyers will ensure that the Client is fully aware of everything else that may sit around this one transaction so that the client is fully aware of what they need to do before and after e.g. stamp duty, grants available etc. Have you ever heard a Lawyer say, If we help and do not transact with the client, then we are still happy?
