24.01.2022 On Do Something Day Chatswood Business Executive and Balgowlah Lions Club donated a range of everyday house hold items and much needed financial support to local disability services provider Sunnyfield. Sunnyfield has over 200 residents in shared independent living, meaning house hold items like toasters, kettles and small cooking appliances are always in high demand. Making todays donation a welcome edition for many residents homes. We are extremely grateful for the cont...inuous fundraising efforts of the Lions Club. 23.01.2022 Young people receive a new look website aimed to help them navigate life's challenges. This year the Australian Lions Drug Awareness Foundation (ALDAF) has redeveloped their popular youth health website www.tuneinnotout.com Tune in not out (TINO) covers 48 topics across mental health, relationships, alcohol and other drugs, sexual health, identity, school life, bullying and cybersafety, health and well-being and finding help. Features: videos; fact sheets; stories; music; signposts; teacher's resources. "Creating a happier, healthier and safer community".

19.01.2022 Fitting of a walker for Leon Leon a two year old boy from Chatswood needed a small Rifton Pacer at a cost of $5,000. Due to a left hemiplegia cerebral palsy he is unable to walk independently with very poor weightbearing ability and strength through his left side. Leon's walker was funded by Thomas Property Developments a Real state Developer in Neutral Bay through the Lions Club of Balgowlah and also funded by the Lions Club of Winston Hills.

17.01.2022 We did it! Lions clubs bought the wheelchair adapted vehicle for Cerebral Palsy Alliance/Kate Agnihotri for Kate's daughter Kareena. The handover was held at Integrity Car Sales and Rentals on Wednesday 10th June. Kate said "I was really excited when Lions said they'd help out with the fund raising which means Kareena can get out and about now. We weren't able to do long trips with all of her equipment we had so this makes it easier for me to transport her to medical appoint...ments. It's been life changing." Kareena, 6, suffers from Cerebral Palsy, quadriplegia, and epilepsy. She is also legally blind and is tube fed. "The main thing is I want her to feel happy and loved every day. She's a very happy girl, I feel blessed to have her. She has such an innocent soul and she's changed my life and my perspective." CEO Cerebral Palsy Alliance Paul Henderson said " It was a nice feeling to be able to do something like that for the family. It will make a huge difference to the mother and the little girl and will make life that much easier for them". See more



17.01.2022 A car for Kareena. Lions Clubs of Balgowlah, Frenchs Forest, Manly, Mosman and St Ives are raising $30,000 , with help from Lions District Cabinet and Australian Lions Foundation to purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle for Cerebral Palsy Association . This vehicle will be mainly for the exclusive use of Ms Kate Agnihotri to help her with convenient transport for her six year old daughter Kareena. Kareena has multiple disabilities including cerebral palsy. Lions--changing lives

16.01.2022 Contestants Andie Thorpe, Lillian Teale, and Rebekah Thwaites display their prizes and certificates received in the local final "Youth of the Year " Balgowlah Lions Club . After going to the toilet, and before wiping your bottom, go to the bathroom and wash your bottom in the shower (use a bucket of water if needed). 2. Dry your bottom on a towel. 3. Voila! Clean bottom.... The shower water goes into the sewer system. Of course you could have a bidet installed on your toilet, which is much more sophisticated! Let others know. 02.01.2022 Fundraiser for Drought Relief Morning Tea A fundraiser for Drought Relief Morning Tea here at Pittwater Village in - conjunction with the Lions Club. Event: Drought Relief Morning Tea... Where: Pittwater Village 16/32 Mona Vale Road Mona Vale Date : Wednesday 19 September /2018 Time: 10:00am The local community businesses in Mona Vale have also come on board and Henrys Bakery will be suppling scones for the morning tea on the day, A raffle will be held to attract extra funds for our farmers and these include Aldi will be suppling a coffee machine and coffee, fruit baskets from Harris Farm, gift baskets from Plunketts Pharmacy and Waratah Pharmacy, and meat gift voucher from Devitts meats to name a few Lendlease will contribute a $500.000 donation towards this cause. The Zone Chairman of the Lions Club, for the Northern Beaches sub branch, Mr Bruce McLaren will be speaking on the day about how the Lions Club operates and how they will be distributing the money also we do have two shopping trollies full of bottled water, toilet paper, non; perishable goods, and hygiene products.
