23.01.2022 Meet Tracy Versteegen! ? I’m our Front Office Manager - often called top dog, boss lady or Mum with a very passionate, dedicated & customer focused team. ? The Pumpkin Risotto was my absolute favourite dish, it was so light & full of fresh flavours (I have to put the flourless chocolate cake on that list as well, mmm so moorish).... ? Party Mode: Balgownie Cuvee, cheese platter & dips. Friday night in: Rose, in our normal life with our Friday night fish & salad with a good Netflix movie. ? Nothing more satisfying than preparing a marriage proposal & she says YES! Our feedback over the years has been amazing & we love setting up surprises. Everyone wants to feel special & I get great pleasure in helping everybody achieve an experience they deserve. ? I remember a lovely guest that was extremely ill & her family wanted to set up a surprise weekend. We went above & beyond to ensure that it was a great memory for them all. They had tears in their eyes & were so appreciative of the little things we included. ? Balgownie has been part of my life for 7 years. I can see the potential of what it has to offer & just love working in the Yarra Valley. It makes me want to be part of our amazing team & just enjoy progressing & learning every day!

After the devastating fire we experienced in June within our restaurant building, we’re delighted to have our new Balgownie Eatery (a marquee style glass walled space on our tennis court!) that will be ready to go for our reopening on November 2. Our guests staying with us will be able to enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner and dessert in the eatery, as well as the opportunity to try and buy our stunning wines. Plus, if guests want to enjoy the sun an...d Yarra Valley surrounds, they can pick up a picnic box and rug, then find the perfect place to relax and indulge. For those of you just wanting to pop out for a day trip, we’re hoping to open up dining and picnic options for everyone in the coming weeks. Stay tuned! For now, wine is available to order online and collect if you’re a local within 25km. From November 8 we hope that for those of you who live further away, you can do the same. Back to the eatery - Here’s a sneak peek at a few menu items Breakfast (from 8am-11:30am): Local smoked trout, cream cheese and chive bagels Coconut and date chia puddings with fresh berries Hot pancakes with maple syrup Lunch (from 11:30am-5pm): Yarra Valley Dairy cheese board, quince paste, lavosh, grilled sourdough Quinoa and coconut crumbed flathead tails, crunchy chips, tartare & grilled lemon BE minute steak sandwich, lettuce, tomato, Yarra Valley Dairy Bullseye, grilled onion chutney Dinner and in-room dining (from 5:30-8:30pm): Stonebaked Pizza Margherita, Prosciutto and roquette, Mediterranean vegetable to name a few 200g Gippsland sirloin, spring vegetables, crunchy chips and red wine jus Herbed chicken breast, warm mixed grains, avocado, cherry tomato and Yarra Valley Dairy Persian Fetta. You’ll find me somewhere in the Balgownie matrix, working on digital projects like our website, online store, and socials.... ? I’m a sucker for a 3-course duck cigar, striploin and flourless chocolate cake oh yeah! ? Party Mode: Dinner party right? I’ll be sipping on Estate Shiraz alongside an eye fillet steak with red wine jus. Just a quiet night in with the family or a date night with wifey. Friday night in: A tawny Fortified Shiraz paired with fudge. It’s the simple things. ? I’m complimented often for my animated tours. One couple wrote to me and told me after seeing almost 10 venues, I was the best salesman of them all, and no one came close! ? The people I get to work with day in day out is definitely a highlight. Balgownie people ooze passion and professionalism. Outside of this, employee of the month 6 months into my Balgownie career was a big surprise. ? It’s definitely the team, the laughs and the views just nothing beats breathtaking Balgownie scenery. Such an inspiring place to work! ? Balgownie was a fresh start for me. I ventured into the romantic world of wedding and event sales at Balgownie, with an armoury of versatile skillsets, and have never looked back.
