24.01.2022 Just completed this stunning and huge deck with a Western Red Cedar Hut at Engadine. This deck was designed and manufactured in an unusual shape to fit around the sandstones in the backyard. It has railings and LED lights. Merbau hardwood decking with natural decking oil.

15.01.2022 What a great way to start the working week. Building a 4m X 4m colorbond gazebo with a 600mm structural eave.

14.01.2022 Today's mission is to finish this 4m X 4m colorbond gazebo in Sylvania heights for Christmas.

13.01.2022 This is one of my favourite re roof jobs over the Autumn period, The original western red cedar shingles have had a hard life, and looking at the degree of rot I would say they have been shaded by the large surrounding trees making it difficult for the tiles to stay dry, the frame has been constructed of hardwood timbers and have a nice grey tint, with the colour of the greying hard wood frame in mind it was and easy choice to pick the dark grey slate tiles for the new roof covering. these slate tiles would also handle the wet shady conditions. check out these photos.

04.01.2022 This old bali hut has done well for 15 years. It has a very flat pitch around 15 degrees, very tight thatch spacings 60mm. The job for today is to remove the old hip caps lay some new battens and cover the outside with color bond.

01.01.2022 This week we started another Bali hut in the illawara region , this one is a 3m X 2.4m frame size Bali hut wrapped with a 2.5m X 3.7m Merbau deck. Check it out. It was important to stay as low to the ground as possible. As this Bali hut will be the proud owner of a spa. We then doubled up on footings piers bearers and joist.
