22.01.2022 Hi BLCC family, The circumstances that we are living in has shifted our sense of 'normality' and our routines may be out-of-whack. The Black Dog Institute has shared some information to assist with managing these changes and how to effectively work at home, while protecting our mental health and prioritising self-care. We thought that we would share it with you. Here are some tips that have taken from the information provided:... Set up a structure for your workday & create boundaries for work time/home time (breaks, exercise etc) Stay connected with colleagues and schedule regular meetings- this helps us stay motivated, productive and less isolated Get outside at least once a day Try a digital detox in the evenings to help you 'switch off' Make sure to allow time during the week for activities that you enjoy Self care is so important so remember to make time for YOU. The Black Dog Institute is a not-for-profit facility for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mood disorders such as depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder. Should anybody want a copy of the information that was provided please PM Kurt Blackman as the PDF documents are unable to be attached here. Stay Safe!

18.01.2022 Under 15 Glory Wall Today, the Young Men in U15s were set 3 goals when sent in to bat by Duncraig Carine who are sitting 2nd on the ladder: 1) face 20 balls personally, 2) bat 35 overs... 3) score their highest total for the season (they had to beat 134 that they got last week). At 5/8, all 3 goals looked almost impossible but the fight and spirit shown by Dhruv (Captain), Ricardo and Harry to face 35 balls and retire and Rishi not out facing 29 balls as last Man in was so impressive that they got the Team's highest score and batted their 35 overs. Well done Gents!

There is currently no specific advice from the WA Government regarding the need for any changes to community cricket matches or events. Clubs and individuals should continue to monitor the situation and follow the WA Government advice as it applies to them. Who is most at risk of coronavirus? People who live in or have recently travelled to a country or region that is at higher risk of COVID-19 transmission (e.g. mainland China, Iran, the Republic of Korea or Italy) OR have had contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 may be at risk of becoming unwell. 09.01.2022 Hi BLCC family, The circumstances that we are living in has shifted our sense of normality and our routines may be out-of-whack. The Black Dog Institute has shared some information to assist with managing these changes and how to effectively work at home, while protecting our mental health and prioritising self-care. Set up a structure for your workday & create boundaries for work time/home time (breaks, exercise etc) Stay connected with colleagues and schedule regular meetings- this helps us stay motivated, productive and less isolated Get outside at least once a day Try a digital detox in the evenings to help you switch off Make sure to allow time during the week for activities that you enjoy Self care is so important so remember to make time for YOU. Stay Safe!
