10.01.2022 Training Update - please note this announcement supersedes last nights update Hello everyone, Some good news and bad news....the bad news first: we are not training at all this week. ... The reason for that is the good news: we're back at Ballan Primary! We're taking a week off to get ourselves set as far as our training plan for the season, which at this stage begins on July 24/25. We'll advise over the weekend as to how training will be structured in line with the COVID protocols that we have in place and some new regulations that we've been made aware of. We'll also announce our final team lists as soon as possible. So sit tight, and we'll get back to normal programming next week. Thanks for everybody's patience - circumstance seems to change every time we turn around. Also, thanks to Ballan Primary for letting us come home, and the ARC in Daylesford for being so accomodating.

09.01.2022 The Ballarat Sports Events Centre and Minerdome will soon re-open with local Basketball & Netball Competitions to commence across the venues. It is important that everyone is fully aware of the protocol to ensure the safety of teams and staff, but to also keep our competitions running.

09.01.2022 In slightly positive news Basketball Victoria, under the guidance of Basketball Australia, are working towards putting guidelines together for the return to basketball. We are awaiting official direction from Ballarat Basketball and will keep you updated as soon as we know any more. In the meantime, if you or your child are considering playing, when and if the season commences, please make sure that you are registered on the new registration system from Ballarat. (link below...) This system will link up with the club so it's important you complete the registration. Remember, there will be no cost, so if a $25 charge does come up for a junior player just close the window and log in again, the player should be registered with no payment due It is a known error in the software which Ballarat are working to resolve. If you have any issues please PM us.

05.01.2022 To all Ballan Brumbies members, players, and guardians. It is with great disappointment that the committee have made the difficult decision to withdraw from the current season in the Ballarat Basketball Association, effective immediately. This season has thrown many challenges that the club has continually tried to overcome in the interest of having children return to sport as soon as possible. ... Several factors have led to this late decision, but overall the safety and wellbeing of our players and family members, is our number one concern. We appreciate your support during this turbulent time. At this point there are still many questions to be answered, which we will endeavor to do individually over the coming days, please bear with us as we try to get back to everyone. We will bring you news on our return to basketball as soon as practically possible. Regards The Ballan Brumbies Committee.
