23.01.2022 Day 6: IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN !!!! It’s time for you to come and join us or renew your membership, there has never been a better time to be a member of Ballan Bowling Club, we are under way on the major redevelopment of our grass green, with an all weather environmentally friendly synthetic green being installed as we speak! We hope to field 3 sides next season for Saturday Pennant and also a Midweek Side side on a brand new deck!... Coaching available and guaranteed great times and a friendly environment. Full Membership $150 Concession/Pensioner $130 Social Membership $30 Major Draw Number $400 All memberships receive stubby holder, pen, entry to weekly members draw and membership cards

21.01.2022 Run down from a big week at the BBC!! Last thursday we had a first major draw and it was won by Jason Read, very worthy winner and fantastic supporter of the club. The members draw was also drawn and jackpot as Jason Read was not there at time of draw, it will go to $100 this week. ... Saturday both sides had great starts with convincing wins, which was an awesome start considering we still have no green !! This Thursday we have pizzas being provided and the members draw and Major draw will be done at 7pm! Friday night div 3 are playing a night match at Learmonth roll up is 5.45pm please contact match committee if you can not make it. Saturday morning we have a major job on doing all the concrete starting 6.15am and we would love as many physically fit and able to help a bbq and drinks provided afterwards. Div 7 will be playing at Ballarat normal time Huge week all round Look forward to seeing you all throughout the week.

20.01.2022 Day 5 onsite we seen some major progression our new fence has been put up with a huge thanks to the guys at Fenland Fencing ( Kylie Fenwick) and Major sponsors Premier Fencing ( Luke Mullane ) for making us a priority, considering they are both very busy!! All plumbing works completed by the man Mick Nolan at Ballan Plumbing, and the amazing new lighting installed by Ballan Football Netball Club's Senior Football Coach Tristan Batten they will make a huge difference! Major... inroads were made today and it doesn’t stop there we have only scratched the surface, tomorrow the team at Berry Bowling Systems will be onsite to start the works on the on the major development in converting the current grass green to a fully extended synthetic all weather surface! Very exciting times at Ballan Bowling Club and we will continue to keep you informed as we make progress! All our members are very thankful for all that have helped us up to date! 19.01.2022 This is what small communities are all about! These local tradies all came to help the bowling club put in a massive morning, Aussie organised a huge crew of lads from Aussie’s concrete and fencing solutions BOE CON Fenland Fencing... @premier fencing Eureka Concrete A sharp 6am start and the boys were in to it, the way they are worked together as a team was very impressive! All they wanted was, a good feed and a couple cold beers! We can’t thank you enough for your hard work this morning! We ask that anyone looking for any job big or small please consider these lads first, you will not be disappointed one bit!

18.01.2022 Day 30: We have made huge progress in the past few days after a few slow weeks! The horror frost on Tuesday bust a pipe in the roof and caused major problems, however we will work around it There were a large number of volunteers at the club today, although it was very cold the boys had no time to feel it and the amount of work done was amazing to see! ... Thanks to all that continue to help with the massive project, it is fantastic to be a part of and the time that you spend big or small does not go unnoticed! 18.01.2022 The end of financial year is approaching and we've partnered with the Australian Sports Foundation to support Ballan Bowling Club’s efforts to develop the sport of Bowls. All donations, no matter what size are greatly appreciated. Even better donations are tax-deductible!

15.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: Bowls Victoria today participated in a number of meetings with various agencies and the State Government, which have resulted in confirmation o...f a number of changes to our previous advice. This advice is current as of today, 30th October 2020, and affects both Metro Melbourne and Regional Victoria. There are 3 key areas of change: Masks are now mandatory, and all conflicting information has been corrected. This is a Victorian Government directive. Further detail can be found in the Return to Play Guidelines below. We have received clarification that access clubhouses is permitted where there is a bar, café or restaurant. Clubs which only have a clubhouse, with no hospitality offering, are only permitted to open toilets and changerooms. & Groups of up to 10 people are permitted outdoors/on greens, but groups must now be 10m apart. This rule does not apply to pennant, pennant practice or other state events. Information on this change can be found in the sections titled Number of players and the Types of Competitions. We understand that the ongoing changes will be causing frustration, however be prepared that there will likely be more to come and quite likely prior to the next round of major changes due to be announced on the 8th of November. 13.01.2022 Good morning all, not really bowls related! But if everyone pushes themselves mentally when things get tough, you will not lose very often! I thought it would be worth a share, to start the day off feeling good. The BBC hopes everyone is going well and we miss you as much as you are missing the place. 07.01.2022 Day 14: After a very wet finish to the week last week receiving over 30mm of rain not a lot could be achieved, however our project is running on schedule! We would like to let everyone know that our major draw positions are now open, we have a few spots available! How it works: ... Cost is $400 for the season You get given a numbered ball It runs for 20 weeks drawn each Thursday $500 to be won each week You don’t have to be there to win, we will find you! 07.01.2022 Although on the weekend it was supposed to be our opening match on our new green, neither happened!! The covid pandemic has delayed the start of the season, which could be a blessing in disguise for us at the BBC. The green is still holding a bit of moisture and we have been unable to get it fully completed, the greens crew and the team at Berry Bowling Systems are hoping we can get some luck with the weather!!! 04.01.2022 Hi everyone, we are hoping you are all staying safe and your loved ones are healthy! Just over 8 weeks ago, the amazing fundraising Supermum Lori Conroy came to us and asked us if we would like her to raise some funds, for our major project at the club!! Of course we excepted the offer, we were a bit unsure with the current climate at first, but Lori told us her army of supporters would come together! ... Well she was right, through a chocolate drive Lori has managed to raise just over $2500 which is very much needed, the Ballan Bowling Club is very thankful for the efforts and the community for getting behind Lori once again! Thanks very much Lori for choosing us and we look forward to seeing you and your family at the club once all is completed.
