But today is the big day and we spent the morning celebrating all things books....as well as constructing some very curious creatures. Thanks to all our parents. 19.01.2022 Another great effort from our students with Ballandean winning the C Schools Section & highest average of all schools at the Granite Belt Small Schools Swimming Carnival. Congratulations to Bruno for being Age Champion.

17.01.2022 Thank you to our wonderful P and C who recently donated money to enable us to purchase all of the shortlisted books for the 2020 Book Week. They continue to support our reading focus and enable us to provide a wide range of quality books for all our students.

14.01.2022 Farewell to Amara & Elijah as they make the move to Brisbane. We wish you all the best of luck and we will miss you both.

14.01.2022 The Granite Belt Spaghetti Bridge results are finally in and a big congratulations to our Year 6 students who took out 2nd, 3rd & 4th place. An even bigger congratulations to Chloe & Emily whose bridge was the winner of The Strongest Bridge section.

13.01.2022 Outdoor Classroom Day is a global movement to inspire and celebrate outdoor play and learning, at home and at school. This year, students participated in a range of bike riding activities, played bocce, made and tested water proof structures and enjoyed yoga session. #outdoorclassroomday

12.01.2022 Ballandean State School will have an instrumental music program starting in 2021. Thanks to a VERY generous donation from Kelvin Grove State College we have cellos, violins and violas already. We look forward to continuing our partnership and learning together. Particular thanks to Colleen Toohey-Jones and Llew Paulger.

08.01.2022 World Teachers Day! What an awesome group of people I work with. Staff and students surprised me with a certificate and a rose to say thanks. Very proud to lead this group.

05.01.2022 Book Week part 2. I know our school is great when all our staff make the effort to dress up as a character with the kids. Thanks we brought a smile to all our kids faces today.

04.01.2022 One journey ends, another begins. Congratulations to our Year 6 students on the completion of their primary school education. A big thank you to you, their parents, for entrusting us with the education of your children and being partners in creating an amazing group of responsible young adults. We will miss them all. To those families whose long association with Ballandean State School ends today, we say farewell to you all and hope that that Ballandean State School will always be a special place for you and your family.
