24.01.2022 Thistle is almost 3 months old, she is shedding her foal coat to reveal a beautiful rich brown colour. She was very interested in watching the farrier trim her dam, Auburn.

21.01.2022 Many thanks to Anthony Thomas, Southern Sporthorses & Dapple EQ for adding another great event for the show jumping fraternity at the beautiful Oakside Park. We are very happy with our horse, Ballantyne Hunter ridden by Adam Beckel, who had two classes for two second placings. This was his first outing after a two month spell.

16.01.2022 Louise Lehman from the Clare Valley Vets is currently using our facilities here at Ballantyne Stud for the AI season. We enjoy working with Louise and her cheery staff and we offer agistment and full care for your special mares, under daily supervision. Foals at foot are welcome too.

15.01.2022 "Up the back paddock", how many times have you heard those words, how many treasured horses have you found there? Our "back paddock" currently has B. Law 'n' Order (Dusty) and B. Hunter in it, enjoying each other's company. 21 year old Dusty has happily retired into his new life as a companion while Hunter has a few months spell due to Covid-19.

He is currently approx 15 hh at 22 months old, been floated, teeth done, wormed, feet trimmed, hard ties and rugged. Can be registered as a Cleveland Bay Sporthorse and with the dilute/buckskin societies. 13.01.2022 Miss Thistle coming in for breakfast on a frosty morning. Weaning is now underway, she is yarded next to her mum, with the help of an electric wire she is now unable to sneek feeds over the fence.

13.01.2022 The beautiful Ballantyne Hunter has been sold to a perfect home, we wish the new owners all the best and look eagerly forward to being a part of your future with him. We also would like to thank Adam Beckel, Shauna McLean & family for his show jump intro from 45 cm thru to winning metre tracks so confidently. Hunter just shone like a light to show us his true talent, so exciting to see. Also a huge thank you to Pauly Daniels, what a wonderful start you gave Hunter, you put the solid foundation down for Elle Griffiths to build upon, which she did so well. Hunter will be missed here at home but he needs to keep on shining now for Felicity.

07.01.2022 First show jumping start back after a 3 month Covid 19 break for Ballantyne Hunter this weekend at Mallala Equestrian Centre, excellent results with a win and two second placings in four events. A big thank you once again to Adam Beckel for riding Hunter and to Shauna Mclean for looking after the horse.
