14.01.2022 Due to the current situation with Covid-19 we have decided to cancel the pizza night at BCG which was scheduled for Friday 27th March and further events in the coming months. As you may already be aware, Covid-19 has begun to affect Ballarat. One of the most powerful actions we can now take as a community is to practice social distancing to prevent the spread of infection and the strain on our healthcare system. So let’s postpone this event until it’s safer for everyone. In the meantime, let’s still enjoy our lovely community garden and have a chat across our garden plots! Please remember to reach out to fellow gardeners/friends and let’s support each other as best as we can during this time.

08.01.2022 Working bee update due to Covid-19 Cancelled until further notice Working bees at BCG will be operating a little differently whilst we ride this wave together. ... Normally our community garden has its working bee on the third Saturday of every month. However, due to our need to protect each other from the spread of the virus we will put these gatherings on hold until further notice. If however you are needing some fresh air and exercise (and feel well!) please remember that a list of gardening jobs is still displayed on the board at the main shed to do in your own time. We can still do our bit to keep things looking great! Most importantly, please don’t forget to practice good hygiene whilst in our shared space.
