25.01.2022 During the day and into tonight crews continued to monitor the grass and scrub fires that occurred yesterday near Tinworth Avenue Mount Clear. Crews found some small hot spots and extinguished these throughout the day into the evening. Members used the brigades Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC) to locate any further hot spots that were unable to be seen.... When crews left tonight we were unable to locate any further hot spots. The owners of the land will continue to monitor the area and will notify the brigade if any further hot spots are found.

12.01.2022 This morning at around 4:30am we were called to support Sebastopol Fire Brigade - CFA to a collision in Sebastopol. On arrival our rescue crew found the driver heavily trapped in the vehicle. Crews worked in conjunction with Ambulance crews for around 40 minutes to extricate the driver from the vehicle.... Cause of the collision is being investigated by the Police. If you saw anything that may assist the police, please call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. 12.01.2022 From now you might see us looking slightly different than normal, no we haven’t had a haircut (well some of us might have). Tonight we undertook training for the use and care of our new helmets for structure fires. These new helmets are a Pacific F15 premium structural helmet and features: -DuPont Kevlar and Fibreglass reinforced composite shell -Advanced polymer chassis... -Unique crumple zone -One-touch visor/eye protector -Full coverage internal face shield -Integrated helmet torch -Comfort harness -Premium comfort liner -Flame resistant multi-layer neck flaps These helmets increases the safety of our breathing apparatus operators while inside a structure. For people in Central, South West and parts of East Gippsland, North Central, North East and West and South Gippsland Forecast Districts. Issued at 9:58 am Monday, 21 September 2020. SQUALLY CONDITIONS FOR SOUTHERN AND MOUNTAIN VICTORIA TUESDAY Weather Situation: A series of cold fronts will cross Victoria over the coming days. DAMAGING WINDS, averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of around 90 to 100 km/h are likely to develop out elevated areas (above 500m) overnight Monday night into Tuesday morning. DAMAGING WINDS are also possible about remaining areas of the warning area, developing about the southwest at first early Tuesday morning and extending to central parts later in the morning. These winds will most likely be associated with showers and/or thunderstorms. Winds will gradually ease from the west later on Tuesday, clearing the east of the State during Wednesday morning. Locations which may be affected include Warrnambool, Ballarat, Geelong, Melbourne, Wonthaggi and Bacchus Marsh. On this day 19 years ago 11 September - 343 Firefighters ran into the World Trade Center doing their job and to never return. 60 Police Officers didn’t return home from that shift. ... 8 EMT/Paramedics heard their last call and didn’t return home. Today we remember their bravery and sacrifice. 2977 people died in these attacks with nearly 25000 people injured. Today we remember all.

10.01.2022 With warmer conditions today it would be a great day to spend in the garden or starting to prepare your property for the fire season, but with the sun we also have high winds. If you are planning to do any burning off please rethink it. 04.01.2022 Last night we were called to a collision along with crews from station 67 FRV, this occurred in Ballarat Central. A vehicle had lost control before colliding with a fence over the Yarrowee River. The vehicle landed on a water pipe and supports that crosses the river and came to rest there. The occupants were able to climb out of the vehicle. The car ended up around 3 to 4 meters above the bottom of the river.... A crane was requested to attend to assist with the recovery of the vehicle. 02.01.2022 Today our crews attended a small bushfire with the support of members from Ballarat City Fire Brigade - CFA, Glen Park Fire Brigade Buninyong-Mount Helen Fire Brigade Fire Rescue Victoria station 67... Forest Fire Management Victoria Victoria Police Parks Victoria and Mt Warrenhiep CFA attended a small bushfire in the Woowookarung Regional Park. Crews were required to walk in to gain access to the fire that was burning in inaccessible land. The fire burnt around one third of a hectare before crews could bring it under control. This shows, although we have had some decent rainfalls, fires will still spread. We would like to thank all brigades and services who attended and thank the dads on scene for giving up their Father’s Day. CFA (Country Fire Authority) #WeWorkAsOne
